CNC Set Up Operator
Education: High School Degree or GED equivalent The CNC Setup Operator is the supportive role for making a quality product and ensuring our customer has the right part number they need when they need it per the production plan.
This includes PM'S, fixture work, entering data into production systems, making sure change/over's happen on time within the time given, Interfacing with operators, maintenance, supervision, engineering on machine problems the decrease the run rate, 6's of the plant and the machine you are responsible for. • Perform quality checks dictated by the control plans for all production equipment. • Completed Backsorts as required. • Setup sophisticated CNC machines, change and adjust tools and fixtures, and monitor process to ensure production of quality parts. • Ability to make effective offsets from CMM reports, and verify them. • Track tool life and change tools at the required time. Test prototype tooling. • Enter data into the Pulse systems, Tooling systems, and any other systems as related to your Role. • Work with Engineering on new product startup and process improvements. • Ability to effectively change over machines to another part number • Assist maintenance technicians in troubleshooting machine problems and perform minor maintenance on equipment. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times, follow 5's, and fill out cleaning checklist. • Provide machine operator coverage as required by supervision. • Cross train to be functional plant wide. • Perform other activities as assigned
Ability to work 12 hour shift on your feet, with potential overtime requirement's. Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and ability to push rolling stack of up to 200lbs.
This role requires frequent bending, stooping, lifting, pulling and pushing. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and utilize independent judgement.

Participate in required instruction and training to become familiar with DFT (Demand Flow Technology) and its application at Nortek Global HVAC.
Perform all inspection, set-up, and operation activities in conformance with Operational Method Sheets.
Operate equipment in production capacity meeting and/or exceeding all safety and efficiency standards.
Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

Machine Operator I - 2Nd Shift
What Machine Operation contributes to Cardinal Health
Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May pack finished product by hand and insert into appropriate box(s).
Tend automatic assembly machine. Start machine, observe for correct operation and makes adjustments for material delivery/feeder equipment and automatic packaging system, as required; maintain ink reservoirs.
Un-jam material feeder equipment as required. Inspect in process or finished product/package visually following department's specifications. Inform set up personnel or other designated personnel of any machine malfunction or defective product for correction. May move material to and from designated areas within department.
Responsible for correct recording of traceable information, production information, cleaning and safety check documentation that is required by your assigned duties.
Observe department's safety regulations and to use personal protective equipment as required.
