Under direct supervision, assists during the rigging up and down of Surfce Well Testing (SWT) service line equipment on work locations for the purpose maintaining control and processing of wellbore fluids during well testing operations and providing the customer with essential reservoir information by the use of (but not limited to): Surface Well Test and Surface Pressure Control equipment packages. Works in the Testing & Subsea workshop, assisting in the repair and maintenance of (SWT) equipment.
May assist in working in the Testing & Subsea workshop for other product service lines as needed. Assists in assembly and preparation of equipment for installation and service. Performs in the rigging up and rigging down on a location of (SWT) service line equipment and in the clean up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
Assembles and prepares, as directed, equipment for installation and service. Drives a truck or other assigned equipment as required. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability of operations.
Skills are typically acquired through completion of high school or similar education and 1-1/2 years experience of Surface Well Testing experience. Must be able to visually identify and describe various types (SWT) equipment and explain function of each. Must have demonstrated ability to work safely with hand tools.
Must follow all Health, Safety and Environment best practices, be able to complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on prescribed tasks and demonstrate Safety in Lifting. Must be able to explain the function of the mobilization documentation. Must be capable of understanding/navigating HMS, iLearn and Competency sites on HALWORLD.
Must have successfully passed company tests or met task guideline requirements. Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Operator Assistant II – Surface Well Testing. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
Basic computer skills are required. Licensure to drive commercial vehicles may be required.
Preferred experience includes working with plug valve manifolds, 3 and 4 phase separators, and plug catchers (trash catcher). Ideal experience also includes performing work over and coil tubing drill outs, working with 5K and 10K sand traps, strapping (gauging tanks) for hourly and/or minute rates (to calculate hourly rate), and performing maintenance on: plug valves, liquid level controllers, high pressure motor valves, choke bonnets, flare stacks, and high and low pressure regulators in the shop and during field operations.

Position Summary: A front-line completions supervisory position responsible for supervising the initial completion, flowback, Coiled Tubing, Frac, Workover and tubing install operations through the use of 3rd party service crews. Ensures each project is completed in scope, on time and on budget through direct supervision of up to 12 contractors. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS, 14 DAYS ON 14 DAYS OFF.
Supervises and coordinates well servicing crews and other contractors that perform work including Well Preps, B Sections, Setting Frac Stacks, Flowback, Frac, Workover and tubing installs. Executes procedures for new well completions and work-over or remedial well work. Proposes optimum, technical solutions. Create drawing for pad layouts of equipment on flowback and Frac.
Maintain Communication Daily with location Consultant and RRC Supervisor to ensure smooth operation of completions projects. Escalates operational issues to Area Completions Supervisor or Completions Operations Manager for resolution.
Supervise location prep work. Cellars, B sections, Gravel work and containment
Supervise Workover and Tubing Installs operations
Supervise Frac and Wireline Operations
Supervise flowback operations after Coiled Tubing Drillouts
Work with Land Department on Location moves and flaring operations to ensure proper accesses have been obtained.
Work with EHS Department in regards to correct any spills or address incidents
Help in Quality Control of Contractor safety, equipment and operations
Assist Production and Construction as needed for build-outs and flowback turnovers
Make Recommendations on Improving Operations, Safety, Cost Savings and Equipment
Using software package such as Wellview, track costs on contractors during operations to ensure budget is not overrun. Escalates budget issues to Area Completions Supervisor or Completions Operations Manager for resolution.
Help Maintain Well Site Roads during Operations and bad weather
Must be available to work "on-call" on nights and weekends. Typical operations run 24/7. Schedule may vary based on Division.
