GENERAL PURPOSE: Identify and place the correct carton(s) into the feed hopper to convert into individual pieces.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Reads job ticket then prepares and feeds the correct cartons into machine.
Assists operator with all make readies.
Receives product from end of machine and packs according to job ticket.
Performs visual inspection of cartons for any defects while feeding and packing cartons.
Verifies case count.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.

Ability to review and perform quality checks for damage and non-conforming product
Perform fast paced duties to ensure machines are fully loaded and properly operational
Ensures new stock is delivered in a timely manner to keep the machine running and to watch for machine jams.
Perform in-Process inspections by visually inspecting cartons as they are loaded into the machine.
Assist the Operator in running quality cartons to customer specifications at the fastest possible speed.
Visually inspect cartons before feeding to ensure that the proper item is being fed and that there are no noticeably defective cartons being fed.
Perform checks for all defects, damaged cartons, and mixing. The Feeder should feed by die position whenever possible.
Facilitate proper positioning of cartons in the feed hopper by fanning out or pre-breaking scores as necessary to ensure that cartons are being pulled through feed properly.
Reports unsafe conditions to the Operator, Department Manager, or Management Team.
Assist Operators during machine down time for clean-up and resolution
Performs other related productions duties as assigned by the Finishing Manager or Management.
Required Experience
High School equivalent/GED
2 - 5 years of manufacturing experience in manufacturing required..
Technical and problem solving skills.

Job Summary
The Feeder Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for reviewing UPS Dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service.
He/She oversees Dispatch planning and is responsible for ensuring service, safety, and cost goals are met. This position supervises others within the department.
The Feeder Dispatch Supervisor collaborates with others (e.g., Yard Control Supervisors, Drivers, Region Schedulers, etc.) to ensure Dispatch plans are executed efficiently. He/She supervises Dispatch planning to ensure loads and tractors are assigned to drivers to meet service goals. This position reviews and analyzes data (e.g., volume, missed packages, delivery failures, etc.) to create plans maximizing Dispatch results. Assists Press Operator with press make ready and perform manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the printing press.
Must be able to install plates and blankets on press cylinders, adjust press machine parts, such as a feeder, delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools.
Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
Wash blankets and clean ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press.
You will also stock consumable supplies for the press such as rags, solvents, blankets etc.
Understand and comply with all EHS policies and programs.
Maintain an organized work area by coordinating efforts with department personnel and management, completing all required housekeeping tasks, and report any unsafe working conditions.

Ensures that press is properly supplied with roll stock and prepares rolls for splicing. Maintains appropriate paperwork or records. May assist with pre-make-readies and make-readies.
Responsibilities
Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press accordingly.
Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and the mechanisms related to the reels.
Maintains proper inventory of paper. Records usage and spoilage on SPC report.
Ensures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted and ready to be spliced.
Monitors the flow of paper throughout the run. Prepares and installs new roll when necessary.
Works in conjunction with the press operators and other assigned Press Assistants in the preventative maintenance of the presses. Assists maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and making repairs to press.
May assist with make-readies.
May adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to ensure that proper color is established or maintained as required by location.
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.

The Hendersonville plant is seeking a Printing Feeder Operator who will be an integral part of the Printing team operating the mechanical sheet feeder. This position also assists the press operator with the setup, repair, and maintenance of the press.
How you will impact WestRock
Clears machine before and after each run and picks up and destroys all foreign material. Empties all waste receptacles located within the blue line area.
Reviews job ticket and selects the proper type and quantity of paper. Loads and unloads paper. Inspects paper for defects or damage.
Obtains proper ink from ink room and fills ink fountains. Maintains proper levels of ink at all times.
Mixes water fountain solution and sets up dampening system. Maintains proper levels of water. Checks PH balance and conductivity reading of water.
Sets up and operates the mechanical press feeder.

Core responsibilities in supervising dispatch operations are to coordinate with others to ensure that dispatch plans are executed efficiently and to ensure adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs. The Part-time Dispatch Supervisor oversees load/tractor planning and assignments, monitors load movement, and tracks the condition of equipment. This position also reviews, analyzes, and tracks various dispatch and service reports and schedules. Using this data, the Part-time Dispatch Supervisor creates efficient dispatch plans, verifies service levels, addresses performance issues, and incorporates modifications – such as new customers, new locations and additional loads – into dispatch plans.
