Coating Services Production Supervisor
Coating Services Production Supervisor:Responsible for overseeing the activities of the entire Coating Services production departments to insure the process is flowing smoothly. They will identify areas with-in the process that need attention and have the ability to make the necessary changes in a timely manner. The Supervisor will be required to have
Specific Tasks and
Provide a bi-weekly staffing schedule accommodating vacations and normal absences to insure that all steps of the process are adequately covered.
Understanding of FIFO and able to communicate with Scheduling for necessary tooling
Able to work every shift. Currently shifts begin at 7:00 and 10:00 AM and ending at 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM (but this is subject to change)
Ability to determine the number of employees needed in each function to eliminate any bottlenecks throughout the day.
Work Flow Coordination:
Strict coordination of the process sequence is required to insure that all functions are well staffed to allow the Technical Support Team the appropriate amount of time to prepare the coating chambers. Insure that the work flow is efficient and each step is completed in a timely manner.
Individual assignments must be made daily with clear direction for completion based on priorities of batches and customer requirements.
Resources including personnel, tools, and fixtures must be sufficient in quantity and available when required.
The creation of requisitions for tooling and supplies necessary for production operations. The requisitions need to be submitted to the VP of Operations for approval on a timely basis with a reasonable justification for the expenditure.
Develop, implement, and document a training program for each team member to qualify them for each step of the process using the Quality Management System as the source for training.
Recommend potential programs and participate in personal development through attendance in outside training programs. Specific program may include: Production planning, or various levels of quality management. At least one program per year is expected.

The Machine Operator sets up and operates various types of machinery (i.e. CNC, Chemical Finishing, Packaging, Vibratory, Pneumatic, Manual and/or automatic) in assigned cell, in order to, produce various types of Medical instruments and implants.
Ensures production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to, and safety rules are followed.
Set up and operate various types of equipment used to manufacture various types of Medical instruments/implants within established manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
Generally, these are established products but, on occasion, may work on testing or new products. The operations performed depend on cell assignment and product that is being manufactured but may include minor machine programming.
In this position you will use various types of measuring instruments including, numerous types of gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, conductivity meters, and digital titrators for chemical analysis Utilizing diverse types of hand tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to adjust or change tooling or fixtures for set up changes or quality adjustments.
