Coating Services Production Supervisor
Coating Services Production Supervisor:Responsible for overseeing the activities of the entire Coating Services production departments to insure the process is flowing smoothly. They will identify areas with-in the process that need attention and have the ability to make the necessary changes in a timely manner. The Supervisor will be required to have
Specific Tasks and
Provide a bi-weekly staffing schedule accommodating vacations and normal absences to insure that all steps of the process are adequately covered.
Understanding of FIFO and able to communicate with Scheduling for necessary tooling
Able to work every shift. Currently shifts begin at 7:00 and 10:00 AM and ending at 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM (but this is subject to change)
Ability to determine the number of employees needed in each function to eliminate any bottlenecks throughout the day.
Work Flow Coordination:
Strict coordination of the process sequence is required to insure that all functions are well staffed to allow the Technical Support Team the appropriate amount of time to prepare the coating chambers. Insure that the work flow is efficient and each step is completed in a timely manner.
Individual assignments must be made daily with clear direction for completion based on priorities of batches and customer requirements.
Resources including personnel, tools, and fixtures must be sufficient in quantity and available when required.
The creation of requisitions for tooling and supplies necessary for production operations. The requisitions need to be submitted to the VP of Operations for approval on a timely basis with a reasonable justification for the expenditure.
Develop, implement, and document a training program for each team member to qualify them for each step of the process using the Quality Management System as the source for training.
Recommend potential programs and participate in personal development through attendance in outside training programs. Specific program may include: Production planning, or various levels of quality management. At least one program per year is expected.
- Minimum of (6) weeks in-house training and minimum of (6) six weeks training at AG with each
Some knowledge of current ERP (Axapta) system and able to assist in implementing a new system in 2018

Follow-through to be sure the commitments have been met, and communicate with Customer Relations Specialist any concerns.
Meet with the VP of Operations, CVD Supervisor, and Technical Support Team to plan daily needs for each area each day
Conduct daily production meeting to:
Relay any information from Management
Review daily requirements
Discussions with Sales, Customer Relations Specialist and Customers on quality, delivery, or technical issues concerning their products
Communicate all quality issues with the Quality Manager for resolution

The purpose of a Plant Production Supervisor is to effectively plan, coordinate, manage, and control all of the processing operations including processing equipment, maintenance and cleaning. This role will interface with other departments including quality, maintenance, warehouse, packaging, etc. The supervisor also has the responsibility for meeting and maintaining established safety, sanitation and environmental regulations.
· Provide direction and technical expertise in activities related to ingredients, process methods, and data management by monitoring, trending and analyzing in-process information.
· Provides direction to shift coordinators and line leads. Ensures quality products and adherence to productivity goals, including those associated with quality, productivity and other key performance indicators.
· Collaborate with quality to ensure overall product quality is within parameters.
· Oversee the scheduling, assignment, and monitoring of personnel to meet production requirements.
· Ensure compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Quality
· Minimum Associates Degree required
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 3 to 5 years leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
· Additional Education (highly desired, but not required) - HACCP, USDA, FDA, OSHA, GMP, SPC, etc.
· Proven leadership ability
· Strong analytical & applied problem solving skills
