Description JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible to facilitate outstanding customer service by building hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies in a fast paced, customer service driven business. This individual must have the ability to prioritize time wisely, handle stress well, and be proficient at determining the processes necessary to complete all tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Build hose assemblies for customers and stock in accordance with policy and procedures.
Must be able to identify various types of fittings and hose and be able to offer replacement options for our customers.
Design and estimate custom hose assemblies based on customer needs and application.
Create sales orders in order to provide a customer invoice for hose purchases.
Adhere to good housekeeping and Contamination Control Standards.
Maintain tooling and equipment in the hose room.
Serves as a backup to the parts warehouse as needed.
Performs daily bin and physical inventory counts.
Pulls and packages parts to fill customer orders in a timely fashion.
Delivers and provides pickup of parts, cylinders and components for service repairs when needed.
Receives shipments. Identifies parts from shipments. Places parts in proper bin location.
Bands and prepares packages and pallets for shipping.
Performs daily safety inspections and maintains safety logs of mobile equipment.
Follows assigned work schedule with consistent attendance/punctuality.
Adhere to all customer care standards.
Actively care and advocate safety at Western States. Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.

Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation
Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same

Perform various assembly or sub-assembly processes including but not limited to ringing, naming, and hand assembly.

Hose Design Engineer
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Hose Design Engineer will work with a team that is charged with helping to develop new products as well as supporting the existing product offering to fit customer needs or address market gaps while maintaining quality and cost initiatives for the project. The position will encompass all aspects of development, design, testing, implementation, and support of all current and future product offerings.
This position will regularly interact with all disciplines within the company. while assisting with all current engineering issues, products, and components, The duties will require both hands on activities (ie physical assembly, testing, and crimping) as well as administrative tasks, and proficiency with ERP software, SolidWorks, and specification work. In addition the engineer will work to help incorporate all new designs in SolidWorksand the ERP system. The position may also entail customer visits to realize new opportunities and better utilize current opportunities to provide true value improvement opportunities.
This position requires an Engineering degree, hose design experience with a strong understanding of hydraulics. Hose assembly, as well as the understanding of thermoplastic hose extrusion, and hose assembly is highly desired. Plastic Injection Molding and like experiences a plus.
