The Patient FlowSupervisor (PFS) coordinates the assignment of patient care beds within thehospital. The PFS performs initial admission screens using approved clinicalcriteria to assure patient admissions and bed assignments are consistent withcurrent policy and procedure.
Coordinates and expedites admissions/transfers,delays and obstacles. Works inconjunction with physician and/or staff to prioritize admissions based onmedical needs. Communicates with alldepartments as appropriate to maximize efficiency and expediting the admissionprocess.
The PFS works in collaboration withmultiple departments within the hospital and facilitates regularly scheduledbed management meetings with hospital staff to identify and communicate bedutilization issues. The PFS will identify, trend, and report barriers topatient throughput. The PFS is responsible for the operational running of thenursing departments in the absence of the nurse manager or Director
Preferred: BSN & MSN
Minimum: 5 yearsnursing experience in acute care setting
Preferred: multi-unitexperience. Manager experience in an acute hospital setting

The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who serves as a clinical and professional role model in nursing practice and management throughout the hospital. The House Supervisor is the administrator in house both during regular working hours, weekends, and night shift. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising hospital operations including patient flow, safe and appropriate unit staffing, proper and effective communication between all hospital departments, coordination of various administrative duties, and public relations liaison as needed. The supervisor will consult with the Assistant CNO or CNO regarding administrative decisions when needed.
