This part-time Environmental Health Technician assists in the day-to-day operations of the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facilities located in Dacono and Greeley. This is a public-facing, customer service-oriented position, which requires staffing on specific days of each week when the facilities are open.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direct supervision of the Waste Program Coordinator.
We are hiring for two part-time positions:
one position for 16 hours per week in Greeley and Dacono,
one position for 8 hours per week, April-September
on Saturdays in Greeley and Dacono.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work the scheduled hours each day/week established for this position and is available as-needed outside of regularly scheduled work hours to assist with facilities coverage, response to public health emergencies, night meetings or community outreach events.
Acquire and retain knowledge of various policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to numerous local, state and federal requirements of a HHW facility.
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and employer policies and procedures.
