We are seeking a qualified individual to operate a Harris TP-500 Stationary Compactor to process municipal solid waste at the Montgomery County Transfer Station in Derwood MD. The position involves the safe end efficient operation of a high-pressure hydraulic Compactor, completing daily pre-trip inspections and lubrication of the Compactor, opening and closing intermodal container doors, directing truck traffic to and from the Compactors, and periodic clean-up of the Compactor during and after operations. In addition, this position also includes assisting with traffic control and direction on the grounds and Tipping Floor areas of the Transfer Station, periodic clean-up of the Site, and supporting daily operations as directed by the Shift Supervisor. This schedule for this position is a weekly rotation of days and nights and every other Saturday.

Reporting to the General Service Manager, the Hydraulic Shop Supervisor is responsible for service department activities that provide prompt service to customers and other departments.
