An employee in this position operates a Zamboni machine to resurface the ice at the Dearborn Ice Skating Center. The employee also performs minor repairs and maintenance on the Zamboni and facility. The employee cleans the locker rooms and other areas in the arena. The employee also acts as a watchperson at the arena and prepares weekly equipment maintenance and supply reports.

The Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research (CIGLR) is seeking a highly-skilled ice-ocean modeler to work with a multi-disciplinary team that is developing physical models for the northern Pacific Ocean, Bering, Chukchi, and Arctic Seas. Specifically, the candidate will help with the development of storm surge forecasts for western Alaska, which will help guide management decisions in this region. The candidate will work with the project lead to implement, test, and verify the Los Alamos Sea Ice Model (CICE) for western Alaska, as well as to implement the verified ice model in a coupled ice-surge-wave forecast model. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills related to coupled ice-ocean modeling, high performance computing, and ability to lead or contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
The successful applicant's appointment will be with CIGLR, which is part of the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Ice Cream Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
Operates freezer and ingredients distribution feeder.
Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
Make adjustments to filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing.
Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Will have working knowledge and experience with labeler operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime due to error.
Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.

Hourly wage: $8.50 to start
This position is ongoing and has a maximum weekly schedule of 19 hours and is perfect for someone who doesn't want a large weekly commitment, but who does want to be part of a great team, make some extra money and work for the great City of Boise. The Pilot's Lounge will be open Monday through Friday afternoons and evenings and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Prepares and sells concession items. Operates food preparation equipment.
Complies with all food and beverage serving and handling regulations. Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. Takes orders and utilizes point-of-sale systems to complete transactions.
Uses positive customer service skills to interact with patrons. Performs cleaning, light janitorial, and inventory duties.

Experience working in a restaurant and/or customer service role.
Ability to learn basic kitchen operations; basic food safety regulations; possess general customer service practices.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions quickly and accurately; interact with customers in a friendly and tactful manner; provide a high level of customer service to patrons; operate stoves/ovens, and basic cooking and food preparation equipment; maintain an acceptable appearance at all times as to both dress and personal hygiene; adhere to health code standards; interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
One-year experience working in a food-service industry or related role
First Aid and CPR certification
TIP certification (Alcohol server permit)
Food handler permit
