This role works closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors and Designers to develop and produce high quality pencil sketch illustrations.
Create sketch illustrations to guide photo direction
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting all deliverable deadlines
Work cross functionally with Creative, Production, and Account teams to ensure Clients business objectives and goals are met
Degree in illustration, design or related discipline
3+ years of industry experience in creating sketch illustrations
Experience with developing storyboards, sketching illustrations to guide photography, and an understanding of set photography
Possess a strong portfolio of creative that demonstrates high-level illustration sketch skills
Proficient to expert in: Photoshop

Illustrator - Freelance
Bits is looking for an illustrator to create isometric illustrations of our library of electronic building blocks (Bits), as well as custom illustrations based off of a set number of inventions.
Duration: 1 month starting 3/28 with possibility of extension
Be an expert in Adobe Illustrator, knowledge in After Effects and animated shape layers a plus
Good to have knowledge in other design software like photoshop & 3D
Share a strong portfolio of custom illustrations used in both flat and animated work
Be able to work collaboratively with Designers and Project Managers
Be able to visit the NYC office for key meetings
To create a library of clean .AI assets based on our platform of electronic building blocks (isometric illustration examples can be found in the "how it works" section of our bits pages HERE). Along with this library, we are also looking to get custom illustrations that go with our instructions based on inventions that we will provide.

Our company creates educational materials for children from PreK through highschool, and we know how important images are in learning. As an Illustrator you will be responsible for creating illustrations for multiple projects and educational materials. This position will have a focus on educational Workbooks, but with room to work on other projects as needed.
