Bits is looking for an illustrator to create isometric illustrations of our library of electronic building blocks (Bits), as well as custom illustrations based off of a set number of inventions.
Duration: 1 month starting 3/28 with possibility of extension
Be an expert in Adobe Illustrator, knowledge in After Effects and animated shape layers a plus
Good to have knowledge in other design software like photoshop & 3D
Share a strong portfolio of custom illustrations used in both flat and animated work
Be able to work collaboratively with Designers and Project Managers
Be able to visit the NYC office for key meetings
To create a library of clean .AI assets based on our platform of electronic building blocks (isometric illustration examples can be found in the "how it works" section of our bits pages HERE). Along with this library, we are also looking to get custom illustrations that go with our instructions based on inventions that we will provide.
Specifications/Requirements (Final details TBD):
Assist in development of workflow optimization/ project set up
Deliver a library of Bits with clean animatable layers in various views (amount TBD)
Specs for final assets are illustrator files
Bits to retain ownership and receive source .AI files
- Usage will be for all digital mediums
You will be provided with:
Storyboarding of key frames if needed for illustration purposes
Examples of previous illustrations needed:
- Link to an example isometric Bit: HERE (as reference)
- Link to an example custom illustration that was done in for our Droid kit: HERE (as reference)
Illustrators will work with the Game Designers and Directors to conceive, create, and deliver a compelling look and style for Slot, Meta Game, and other projects, and to document all original graphical aspects of a game, and deliver the finished assets to the Programming Department in a complete, organized, and well-documented fashion. They should have the talent and ability to deliver exceptional quality using multiple looks, styles, palettes, etc.
Illustrators are expected to be expert users of multiple Adobe products and/or 3D software. Staff Artists are expected to have superior talents in several artistic categories, including: illustration, animation, special effects, 3D modeling & rendering, color theory, character design
Essential Job Functions:
Work closely with, and follow direction from Directors and Game Designers to produce high-quality art in regards to character design, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation ability
Create art assets in an iterative process and document all art assets with minimal iterations.

Vector Illustrator / Web Designer
The E-Content Web Designer is responsible for delivering exceptional online design solutions for Homedepot.com. We are looking for a creative problem solver who can partner with various channels, accept direction, and create an online web design solution with exceptional quality. This role is responsible for maintaining and providing online design of HomeDepot.com, including seasonal events and redesign projects. This role works cross functionally with User Experience, (UX), Content, and Category Experience Managers.
The E-content Web Designer should be comfortable working on both large and small-scale projects, manage their time and projects efficiently, and have proficient and applied experience in XD, Photoshop, InVision, InDesign, and Illustrator.
The E-Content Web Designer will be expected to provide design, product images, and other creative graphics as need for content and products on HomeDepot.com.
