Review shop order packet for procedural instructions
Perform and assist own setups
Use of most types of inspection gages
Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machine
Records quantities, material descriptions and job orders for reporting purposes
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Machine Operator (Day Shift)
Position Summary: The Machine Shop Technician is responsible for machine operation (which can include one or more processes such as trimming, tooling, Core Cutting, etc.) of composite products. From loading/aligning fixtures, running program, unloading and storing tooling. The Technician needs to be able to work with both manual methods and use of hand tools and equipment to produce product according to defined planning and work instructions. This position requires attention to detail and a need to be precise and diligent in understanding and following work instructions. On the job training is provided.
Machines consist of DMS, CMS, Themwood, Mazak and waterjet
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (occasional extra hours as needed)
Rate: $8.00 to $18.00

Use of Forklifts and/or Pallet Jacks to move materials, tooling and load the machining centers.
Set up fixtures on machine and dial-in tooling balls.

Complete production records, travelers and area logs as work is completed. Log and record material traceability information on travelers.
Maintain the order and cleanliness of production work areas, ensuring that all tools, materials and supplies are returned to their designated locations throughout the day and again in the last 5 to 15 minutes of the shift. Return all tools and materials to their designated storage space when not in use.
Participate in and contribute to process improvement, lean manufacturing and other initiatives. Recommend process improvements to the Lead, Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations Manager or Manager of Continuous Improvement

Help in other areas in the shop to preserve shop flow (as needed)
Mechanical Aptitude in the use of hand tools and good math skills

Blow Molding machine operators will work under the direction of the production senior lead/supervisor to ensure that the company produces the highest quality products safely and efficiently. The blow molding machine operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining machines throughout the shift.
- Set up and operate blow molding machine to mold plastic products according to specifications: Turn valves to start flow of water and release air pressure to machine.
- Moves machine controls to set timing unit and temperature of heating unit and start automatic feed mechanism.
- Adjust machine mandrel and align mandrel with mold chamber, using wrenches.
- Start molding machine that automatically feeds material from mixing unit to mandrel and to mold chamber.
- Closes chamber to mold product under heat and pressure.
- Regrind excess material and unsatisfactory product for reuse, using grinding machine.
- May weigh completed work-piece to determine accuracy of machine operation.

Machine Operator Class 1
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants must be willing and able to maintain the box machine, feed boxes into the machine, place bag into box, maintain box inventory on mezzanine, change dies when needed to make various sized boxes, clear any box jams, minimize downtime, read production schedules. Applicants must be willing and able to work weekends and extended hours as necessary.
Applicants must be willing and able to work with soy, poultry, flour, spices, wheat, dairy or egg. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to improve in performance over an extended period of time. Applicants must be willing and able to work in cold environment (40 - 45 F temperatures). The Machine Operator - VMC is responsible for tending to the VMC cell with set ups and change overs. Under limited supervision, perform a variety of tasks as requested by supervisors and leadership.
Essential Job Duties:
