The main function of a freight payable/billing clerk is to review data, compute fees and charges and prepare invoices or journal entries for billing purposes. A typical freight payable/ billing clerk is responsible for reviewing company freight charges, itemizing statements or invoices for payment processing through our CASS third party payment system.
Review outstanding invoices on our FBA CASS website to locate errors, correct invoices and prepare for payment.
Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
Prepare and review other freight payments that are shipped outside our SAP system.
Perform analysis, including posting data and keeping other records concerning costs and shipments.
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
Knowledge of contract interpretation and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.

Incoming Material Planner
What you'll do
Ensure consistently reliable, stable flow of incoming production material required from external and GKN suppliers to site, enabling production cells to satisfactorily meet customer requirements and maintain finished goods inventory at established target levels.
Maintain and use information in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to quantify incoming material needs, set receipt due dates, order materials from suppliers, follow through and ensure receipt of materials in a way that enables production cells to run without interruption due to material shortage and to maintain adequate, established finished goods inventories.
Develop and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
Maintain adequate material inventory levels according to established targets.
Attend ECR /ECO meetings and maintain awareness, ensure necessary changes in MRP systems for effective change management.
Receive and verify supplier acceptance of orders and reconciles, resolves and escalates as needed issues with match of information in MRP Demand, Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs), Bills of Lading, and Physical Receipt Counts via scan-to-receive where system is capable.
Track incoming material and supplier parts shipments as needed, counter measuring and escalating any risk of failure to full, on-time receipt of ordered materials.

Implement, follow and improve material flow management processes, including the verification and reconciliation of discrepant or inaccurate material inventory.
Maintain supplier scorecard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work with suppliers to improve KPI performance results (Delivery Service Attainment, Supplier Deliver Rating, Inventory Levels, etc.)
Write procedures and document standards according to TS16949 and all other applicable requirements.
Lead and assist to develop and implement lean principles as they relate to incoming material flow, including visual systems, kanban, demand flow / pull systems and others.

The Freight Flow Supervisor oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area as outlined in the company receiving area plan (RAP). Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards.
