MF3000: Machine Setter Molding
To set up, maintain and operate molding machines in assigned area to produce product. Assign work, train
and instruct employees
Tools and Equipment:
Molding machines, auxiliary equipment, secondary equipment, assembly machines, special purpose
machines, air drivers, ultrasonic welder, scales, gauges, hand and power tools, fixtures, hand trucks.
Material: Plastic, steel, brass
Responsible for assigning work and training new employees
Set up from sample parts, set up data sheets, or supervisor's instructions. Setups involve changing of
molds, setting a variety of limit switches to achieve proper mold height, stroke, closing, etc. Set injection
pressures, adjust material feed and back pressure and ram speed. Set heat controls and timers. Set up
automatic product removal system and conveyor for automatic operation and adjust ejection system for
proper removal of product. Perform wiring hookups required for limit switches. Adjust ejection system
for proper removal of product. Install necessary plumbing apparatus and connect temperature control
equipment, parts separation equipment and wiring hookups.
Set up other equipment involving the changing of tools, fixtures and jigs for a variety of operations.
Check first pieces, obtain Q.A. approval and turn machine over to operators. Spot check work and
make adjustments to maintain tolerances.
Monitor operation of automatic equipment, unload parts, cut off sprue and gates and place in container.

The Department of Mathematics Center for Recruitment and Retention seeks a Teacher Coach for their Induction program during the academic year.
The Teacher Induction Program aims to support middle and high school teachers new to mathematics education as well as experienced teachers who will be teaching mathematics for the first time.
Coaches will meet with teacher participating in the Induction program to observe, collaborate on concerns including classroom management, help plan lessons, best practices, motivation, maximizing classroom participation and time on task, assessment techniques and more.

Duties & Responsibilities
During the school year each coach will be assigned to 5-9 Induction Teachers with whom they will work throughout the school year.
Coaches will complete at least four observation cycles first semester and at least three observation cycles second semester with the Induction Teachers. A cycle includes (sometimes a pre-conference), observation and post-conference. Written documentation should be submitted from each. Some teachers may need more observations in the fall as they begin. The first should happen within the first couple weeks of the semester.
Coaches will submit a written observation form to the Induction Teachers and Induction Coordinator after each
observation. A suggested format will be provided.
Coaches will maintain constant contact with the Induction Teachers via emails, phone calls, visits, etc., addressing any of their various needs, including teaching them mathematics, working with them to put procedures in place for bell work, helping them figure out a system for grading papers that works for them, being there to take calls when they go home in tears.
Coaches will meet monthly with the Co-Directors to plan the monthly Saturday sessions.
Coaches will attend the monthly meetings to be held from 8:00 am – 12:45 pm in August, September, October, November, December, January (MEAD), February, March and April.
Coaches will take responsibility for presenting at the Saturday sessions. These presentations may include topics from 6-12 mathematics curriculum tied to the Common Core, pedagogy and more.
Coaches will serve on the Mathematics Educator Appreciation Day Conference Steering Committee.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Minimum Qualifications
Ten or more years mathematics teaching experience in middle school and/or high school.
Student teacher mentoring experience
Familiarity with the Arizona mathematics content and mathematical practice standards
Strong skills in providing corrective feedback and positive encouragement

Uses computer software to find and print correct revision Tool Set-up sheets for jobs.
Follows Tool Set-up sheet (MSTA) to order tools from Tool Crib.

Uses hand tools (such as torque wrenches) and Heat Shrink machine to remove and secure cutting tools that need to be replaced.
Identifies which tools are to be ran again per the tool sheet (QPP).
Uses scales, calipers and height gages to set tool lengths in various tool holders.

Uses Zoller Measuring machines as well as precision measuring tools to verify a multitude of various dimensions.
Verifies all tools meet the dimensions and quantities per part on the MSTA.
