We are seeking an experienced scientist who is cross-trained in analytical chemistry for biopharmaceuticals, lab automation and systems integration to join our rapidly growing Oceanside team.
The scientist will utilize his/her hands-on experience in lab automation programming and analytical methodologies across a wide variety of instrument platforms (e.g. HPLC, CE, ELISA) to drive the incorporation of new high-throughput analytical and informatics workflows into the department.
The candidate will integrate, adapt, and deploy our multi-product platform analytical methods onto high-throughput instruments and workstations to improve testing throughput.
The candidate will develop data storage and backup solutions for non-enterprise stand-alone systems to ensure data integrity.
The scientist will also design and implement automated workflows for creating sample sequence tables and data analysis reports in chromatography data systems (e.g. Chromeleon) to support high-throughput HPLC-based testing.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate hands-on technical leadership in the laboratory, oversee and delegate experimental/project responsibilities as needed, independently champion technology development projects, be involved in new assay evaluation and optimization, and write/review development summary reports.
The applicant should be an effective communicator of ideas, project goals and results to team members across cross-functional roles/departments. Ability to proactively identify issues and develop solutions in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Working under general supervision, plans designs, implements and analyzes laboratory experimentation to advance scientific knowledge of drug substances or techniques to identify such substances.
Advises Research Associates or members of project teams in the initiation and execution of laboratory experimentation, considering economic, regulatory and safety factors.
Presents results of work, interprets data, and draws conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work.
Maintains full working knowledge of principles and theories, applying such knowledge to the direction that supports Company interests.
Demonstrates emerging ability in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and interpreting experimental outcomes.
Must think critically and creatively and be able to work independently, determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems and have strong organizational and planning skills.
May make contributions to scientific literature and conferences or regulatory filings.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and technical) and strong interpersonal skills are required.
PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with 0-3 years of industry experience.
BS or MS degree with extensive industry experience.
Supervision experience is desired.

Serve as the primary author for medical information letters, dossiers, and other documents/presentations as needed. YOU MUST HAVE
Due to US export control laws, must be a US citizen.
PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science or related field with theoretical background in at least one of: quantum information / simulation, quantum metrology, atomic/molecular collective phenomena, ion trapping, neutral atom/molecular cooling, quantum optics
Experience developing models and algorithms, both analytical and numerical, for classical and quantum computing
5 or more years' relevant experience, including PhD and Postdoctoral experience, including industry or lab appointments
Formal background in AMO physics, quantum systems, information theory, or related field, with a proven track record of developing state of the art theoretical models of quantum systems
Formal background in quantum information science, with a proven track record of developing quantum circuits and algorithms
Experience programming in Python, MATLAB, C++, or equivalent
Deep experience working closely with experimental teams to support laboratory efforts
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as demonstrated by publication record
Strong organizational and leadership skills necessary to work with customers and partners
Strong and active network of professional relationships

About the Role:
As a member of our growing group of servicespecialists you will be part of a team that is highly focused on providing SEND(Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data) related services to ourclients.
You will join a services team thathas extensive experience in Life Sciences, the SEND standard and other relatedregulatory standards/guidance. In-depthinitial training, mentoring and continuous learning is at the heart of ourstaff development.
To start, you will be an integral part of a team engaged in converting nonclinical data into SEND compliant datasets. As your Instem experience grows you'll advance to providing other SEND related services and client consultancy which may be provided either remotely or at the client site. This is a fast-paced, team environment, focused on providing high-quality services and consultancy to our clients in an ever-changing regulatory landscape.
Primary Responsibilities(with on-going training provided):
Maintaining an in-depth understanding of SEND and other regulatory standards/guidance
Performing reviews of preclinical data converted into SEND
Performing reviews for SEND (and other regulatory) compliance
Interfacing with and supporting service customers
Assisting with management of SEND service projects
Maintain/develop skills necessary to engage in additional SEND related consultancy services (with training provided as needed):
SEND Dataset Verification
Providing SEND/regulatory training and/or support to other Instem staff
Providing SEND conversion training and/or support to other Instem staff
