An advanced degree, MS preferably in a scientific discipline with 1+ years relevant experience or an advanced degree, MS, in Information Management, Informatics, or Library Science is preferred
Demonstrated skill in online searching using professional information tools/databases. Knowledge of Medical Safety, Regulatory and compliance requirements with regard to literature surveillance is preferred.

We are seeking an experienced scientist who is cross-trained in analytical chemistry for biopharmaceuticals, lab automation and systems integration to join our rapidly growing Oceanside team.
The scientist will utilize his/her hands-on experience in lab automation programming and analytical methodologies across a wide variety of instrument platforms (e.g. HPLC, CE, ELISA) to drive the incorporation of new high-throughput analytical and informatics workflows into the department.
The candidate will integrate, adapt, and deploy our multi-product platform analytical methods onto high-throughput instruments and workstations to improve testing throughput.
The candidate will develop data storage and backup solutions for non-enterprise stand-alone systems to ensure data integrity.

The I School provides the means to understand, organize, and manage information on multiple levels in society and is multidisciplinary in its approach. Social scientists and technologists work together to address the challenges posed for organizations and society by information ubiquity and abundance.
The I School has approximately 600 graduate and Ph.D. students in our Masters' and Ph.D. programs. Our professional masters' students are actively recruited by leading companies in the Bay Area and beyond, and our PhDs' teach in top universities around the country.
The Associate Dean for Academic Programs will play a critical role in shaping the future of the School of Information as we expand to meet fast-growing demand for our graduates and our scholarship. He or she will provide high level professional leadership (in partnership with academic leaders) in strategic planning for the School.
Over the last five years, the School of Information has grown from approximately 125 students to well over 600. This rapid growth was driven by the launch of our Master of Information and Data Science online degree program. We have recently launched an additional degree program, the Master of Information and Cybersecurity, and anticipate another doubling of our population in just a few years.
The Associate Dean for Academic Programs will be responsible for oversight of these new online degree programs, in addition to our traditional Master of Information Management and Ph.D. programs. In addition, the Associate Dean will lead new initiatives for the I School, which include a 5th year master's degree, a certificate in Applied Data Science, online short courses in partnership with Get Smarter, a 2U company, and diversity initiatives aimed at increasing equity and inclusion in the I School and the technology sector where many of our students work.
The Associate Dean will report directly to the Dean of the School of Information, and will serve as a member of her senior leadership team. This individual will serve as the Dean's representative at various events, as required, ensuring that the goals and programs of the I School are clearly and compellingly communicated to external constituents. Additionally, the Associate Dean will hold a liaison role for the School with 2U, our vendor for marketing and delivery of our online programs.
40% Oversees administration of all academic programming for the School, including online master's degree programs, traditional master's and Ph.D. programs, and strategic initiatives including online short courses and certificates in applied data science.
20% Designs and develops major academic program components, oversees implementation of programs once funded.
20% Develops and executes short and long-range strategic planning process for developing academic programming for the School (in conjunction with the Dean), and executes on the subsequent long-term strategies.
10% Lead's School's diversity initiatives, developing strategies for the promotion of equity and inclusion in the technology sector as well as internal to the School.
10% Consults with and advises the Dean regarding the most effective strategy for academic programming. Represents the Dean with all levels of campus constituencies concerning the School's positions and strategies with regard to academic programs and initiatives. Acts as the
Dean's representative with internal campus administrative units as programs scale, including campus Registrar, Graduate Division, Financial Aid, etc. to ensure excellent student experience.
Advanced and in-depth knowledge of the School and the campus including short and long range strategic plans, vision, goals, objectives, infrastructure, programs, achievements and awards.
Advanced skill in advocating for and representing the School to its various publics.
Academic background and recognized expertise in an academic discipline. Expert oral and written communication skills.
Experience managing both online and traditional master's and Ph.D. programs. Content expertise in information science, data science, and/or cybersecurity.
Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to research and analyze complex situations critically, act decisively, and clearly convey information to others.
Expert ability to work with dynamic and diverse group of faculty, staff and students.
10 years' experience in education, with a strong emphasis on delivery of online programs.
- Ph.D. or equivalent international degree.

This Dairy PD Scientist will support a strategic industrial customer through development of new products with emphasis on understanding and applying new technology to the finished products.
Lead and perform creative spray dry dairy powder product development
Provide excellent product development support for seasoning development team
Manage and/or execute commercialization of products (understanding of processes and operations for dairy powder manufacture)
Employ strong understanding of consumer and general sensory testing, including its application to product development
Design and manage experiments
Investigate and assess new ingredients and technologies available for product development improvements
Collect and interpret data
Apply knowledge of dairy ingredients and flavors, their major vendors, and performance attributes (including flavor, functionality, and quality)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL THREE LEVELS
BS Degree in Dairy Science, Food Science/Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry or a related technical field
