3Rd Shift Machine Adjuster
Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings is seeking an experienced Machine Adjuster to work in its Chicopee, MA facility.
Under Minimal supervision, set-up and adjusts envelope folding machines for safe and efficient operation in the production process. This includes the start-up, operation, and adjustment to proper parameters involving close tolerances, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of the equipment. Installs gears, plunger, rolls or other machine parts to accommodate specified size envelopes. Turns set screws to adjust feeding, folding, gumming, sealing and applying mechanisms according to size of envelopes. Operates machine for trial run and measures dimensions of first piece to ensure conformance to specifications. Observes operation of machines and examines machine parts visually to detect worn or outdated parts. Disassembles machine to replace broken or work parts, using hand tools. May also provide training and assistance to lesser skilled adjusters, trainees and/or machine operators.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
At start of shift, inspect all orders processed on assigned equipment during previous shift for correctness of folding, gumming, printing, count, and packaging; obtain approval from Team Lead Adjuster or Supervisor on start-up of orders.
Set-up and adjust equipment for safe and efficient operation in production process including the start-up, operation, adjustment to proper parameters involving close tolerances, troubleshooting and cleaning of equipment.
Review job tickets to determine tools, parts and materials necessary for machine changes and/or adjustments.
Ensure proper machine efficiency anticipating any possible problems. Assist in preventative maintenance including any repairs and/or replacement of damaged or worn components as needed.
Make proper size changes and adjustments both standard and specials to meet job specifications in accordance with estimated change times; note any delays on work order. Ensure product meets specifications as indicated on work order.
Monitor assigned machine and performance of machine operators to ensure quality and run speed standards are being met.
Change Kraft and window rolls as needed. Ensure that all support material is available to maximize efficiency.
Examines, tests and measures product from assigned equipment. Examines product for defects, ensures quality process is followed.
Analyzes mechanical issues on assigned equipment and takes corrective action accordingly.
Ensure all change parts are cleaned and returned to parts area at completion of order.
Review all dies and plates once removed from machine return to appropriate storage area to be returned to inventory or sent for reconditioning.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure consistent quality production.
Minimizes waste by ensuring all waste is segregated properly, weighed, recorded and placed in the proper waste container(s).
Ensure all checklists, time reports, audits and other paperwork is filled out correctly and completely.
Notifies Supervisor of recurring equipment issues/problems and corrective action taken as well as any safety issues.
Apply samples to cartons, check skid count, shipping tag, and insure overall appearance of the skid is neat and presentable for shipping.
Relay any special instructions or important information pertaining to equipment to next shift upon their arrival.
Check and perform tooling make ready to ensure that it is staged prior to the machine going down for change.
Monitor machine shut downs where applicable to ensure proper wash up of equipment at end of shift.
Maintain clean, safe work area free of debris and adhesives. Ensure Production area is swept, may wash floor, removes waste, cleans machines, cleans cabinets; cleans the sink, etc.
May provide training and assistance to lesser skilled adjuster/trainees.
Complies with Company policy including safety rules and regulations (wear proper safety attire; steel toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed), is not involved in horseplay or unsafe acts, is cautious when near equipment and machines, always makes sure safety guards are in place and operational.
Follows all applicable safety procedures concerning equipment operation, machine and tool operation and repair/installation work.
Attend monthly safety meetings as requested/scheduled.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions, which are normally performed by the person holding this title. However, these functions may be assigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under ADA.
May perform essential duties of a Machine Operators during breaks.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels (hearing protection provided), chemicals, hot and cold environments, etc. 50% to 100% of work time, (all materials an employee may come in contact with are detailed with readily available MSDS sheets).
Incumbent constantly required hearing, speaking, being articulate, use color and central vision, grasping reach and using manual dexterity.

We are hiring now at GEICO for our Entry Level Auto Damage Insurance Adjuster Trainee position. Adjusters are the primary ambassadors of our renowned customer service and deliver on GEICO's promise "to be there".
Through our industry-leading, paid training, we prepare you to directly assist our customers after accidents or other disasters. Our auto damage claims adjusters provide outstanding customer service on a daily basis.
As an Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee, you will:
Learn the ins and outs of automotive damage and insurance claims adjusting
Provide outstanding customer service and efficiently handle case files
Interact directly with customers while working in a local drive-in location, a GEICO Auto Repair Xpress® shop or as a field adjuster
Be equipped with the latest tools and technology in auto adjusting
Inspect and assess vehicle damage ranging from minor fender-benders to extensive damage caused by major accidents, hurricanes, floods and other disasters
Estimate the cost of vehicle repairs, negotiate equitable settlements and issue payments
Receive promotions based upon your performance
Annual Salary of $51,000 / year with 4 year Bachelor's Degree.
Annual Salary of $50,959 / year without 4 year Bachelor's Degree.
Approximate Annual Salary of $56,863 / year after successfully completing licensing and certification (approx. 6 - 8 months).
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree preferred
Ability to attend an extensive 8-9 week training program that includes 3 weeks in Ashburn, VA
Solid computer, grammar and multi-tasking skills, and mechanical aptitude
Good customer service skills
Must be able to work flexible schedules and independently
Strong attention to detail, time management and decision-making skills
Good driving record
Have a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
Must be able to obtain and maintain a driver's license, certifications and permits in accordance with state and federal regulations, and company and departmental standards.

About the Position
Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service and attention to customers who have a vehicle that needs repaired. The individual inspects damage to a vehicle (which may include automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and recreational vehicles), writes damage repair estimates, negotiates moderately complex and occasionally complex settlements with repair facilities, and estimates repair times for rental/loss of use. This individual is also responsible for explaining coverage, estimates, claims, settlement, and rental processes to agents and/or customers.This role may be performed at a drive-in location or in the Field. The individual provides work guidance and direction to less senior employees.
Specific responsibilities include
Researches and responds to moderately complex and occasionally complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
Reviews customer satisfaction results; works independently to create personal action plans
File Documentation and Reporting
Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision making process
Investigates moderately complex or occasionally complex files, reviews damage, takes photos, and determines reparability or total loss
Prepares damage estimates for moderately complex or occasionally complex claims and locates parts
Prepares, reviews, reconciles and/or approves supplements
Conditions vehicles and prepares report for customer
Determines valuation of salvage
Evaluates diminished value in a moderately complex or occasionally complex claim
Claim Payment Processes - Issuance and Authority
- Initiates system generated checks and pays appropriate parties
Other Projects and Responsibilities
Responds to moderately complex and occasionally complex arbitrations contentions
May participate in one or more moderately complex and occasionally complex special assignments
May serve as a committee team lead for medium-sized projects or as a committee team member on medium to large projects

As an Allstate Field Auto Damage Estimator you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise to help restore people's lives after they've had a loss. You will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles and preparing itemized auto damage appraisals to return customers' vehicles to their pre-loss condition. You will meet with customers in person to guide them through the settlement process in a caring and professional manner. You will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and solve problems in a fast-paced working environment.

High School Diploma/General Education Diploma required
Experience writing estimates for an insurance carrier or auto body shop
Proven record for delivering outstanding customer service
Collision auto estimating experience required
Previous experience using a computer estimating system such as ADP, CCC or Mitchell is a definite plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and computer skills
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
