So what will you actually be doing?
The purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day Quality Control requirements in support of the Quality Management System.
A Quality Inspection Clerk's daily tasks will involve:
Demonstrated understanding of all facility policies relate to security, privacy, safety and general work practices
Demonstrated understanding of all quality procedures
Understands safety policies and demonstrates safe work practices at all times.
Actively monitor product for conformity based on Job Specific Work Instructions and Control Plans.
Actively monitor print, insert, and product quality:
identify categories of non-conformances specific to print
identify categories of non-conformances specific to inserting
identify categories of non-conformances specific to mail
Actively follow job quality through the end-to-end production flow of mail and print-on-demand products.
Basic understanding of mail handling and metering processes
Communicate identified non-conformances to the designated authority and escalate if necessary. Participate in problem resolution, where appropriate.
Develop and understanding of the manufacturing equipment through training and awareness. Monitor equipment for defects and report to management.
Conduct proofreading and proof documents for release during product testing phases.
Document non-conformances using prescribed forms and procedures.
Balance (verify count) jobs by cross-referencing serial codes and performing basic mathematical calculations.
Record and verify work hours daily in the payroll system via time clock
Participate fully in non-conformance investigations initiated by the corrective action process.
Assist in the development of procedures, work instructions, and quality system documents.
Participate in team and operations meetings as requested.
Cross train in related disciplines to develop transferable skills
Report all safety incidents, injuries and near misses immediately
Report any potential violations of security or privacy rules

(Swiftwater, PA) The Director, Inspection provides management and leadership for the Inspection function within the Formulation, Filling, Inspection, and Packaging (FFIP) department. Responsible for providing quality check support to the ready to eat processing and packaging lines. This role monitors the quality of WIP and finished product ensure consistent and safe products that meet company specifications are supplied to our customers.
Ensure meat, dates, tape, labels and other supplies are correct according to product specifications.
Pull random samples and perform leaker checks on bags; operating the fish tank to observe the bag for leaks.
Record leaker data and inform the machine operator, department lead and Quality Assurance Technician 2/3 if any leakers are discovered.
Inspect bags to help eliminate or reduce product waste or rework, inspections may include but are not limited to hourly weight or count checks, oxygen level tests, and printed information verification (such as allergen statements)
Raise any quality concerns to the operator, packaging lead or QA Tech 2/3 immediately.
Maintain the fish tank and other packaging quality check equipment in a sanitary manner.
Record quality data for directed tasks.
Perform calibration verification checks of the in line check weighers.
Perform verification checks on the in line metal and ageless detectors.
Gather samples and perform various packaging and product tests.
Ensure sanitary handling procedures in all activities.
