Responsible for upkeep and operation of CVS emissions test-cells, associated emissions instrumentation and supporting equipment.
Operate Emission Lab CVS test-cells, emissions analyzers and supporting equipment per agreed upon test plan
Work closely with emission development engineers to determine the performance and emissions of exhaust aftertreatment systems throughout all stages of product development from PPT to Current Product
Identify and assist in diagnoses of technical malfunctions of the prototypes or the emissions equipment, interact with suppliers and internal experts to identify the root cause of issues, repair and prevent reoccurrence
Manage the process of maintaining assigned test-cell and emissions equipment, including scheduling and performing weekly/ monthly checks and preventative maintenance/repairs
Responsible for inventory management, sourcing and safe disposal of prototypes, testing materials/fixtures and lab consumables
Work with a cross functional team of research engineers and technicians, site facilities, department quality, laboratory operations and HSE representatives
Participate in internal or external training programs to maintain knowledge of emissions control technology and measurement methods
Adhere to applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Manage own work and maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of priority work; plan and engage in continuous learning in order to be prepared for changing work demands
Drive capability improvement (product specific testing
Intermediate level requiring minimum three years of relevant experience from higher education and/or employment in related field.
Associates degree from an accredited program or higher is preferred. This may include MET, Transportation Studies or Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technician Program
Expertise in operation of test-cell hardware, data acquisition systems and control software

Senior Application Engineer - Emissions & Thermal Systems
As an Application Engineer, this position will work on products which reduce emissions and improve fuel economy for BorgWarner Emissions & Thermal Systems. As part of BorgWarner Emissions & Thermal Systems, he/she will work with OEM customers and a cross-functional global team to ensure design, testing and development of Emissions &Thermal products, preserving product integrity and functionality with respect to design intent and protecting the customer. This position will report directly to an Application Engineering Supervisor.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and document required product features based on customer and system requirements
Negotiate technical requirements and specifications with OEM customers
Work with the design department to create product design per vehicle packaging requirements

The Engine Systems Project Chief - Induction and Exhaust will be responsible to lead and coordinate the design, development and validation activities for air induction and exhaust systems for assigned vehicle programs. Position Title: Exhaust Processor I or II
The Exhaust Processor operates and oversees tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment in order to manufacture tubes for night vision devices While wearing clean room attire, the Exhaust Processor uses hand tools to remove numerous stainless steel bolts in order to access and remove finished product from the vacuum equipment. Care must be taken to unload and reload the system without damaging the fragile tubes or the equipment.
