(Survival Equipment Asset Tracking System) generated Parachute Record (OPNAV 4790/101) is a single copy, single-sided record designed to be filed in the aircraft logbook where the parachute system is installed.This form is completed in accordance with the OPNAV Manual, Section 13.3.10 , Aviation Life Support System and Parachute Record (OPNAV 4790/10) The Quality Rigger Inspector must review this form for accuracy against internal documents and referenced technical manuals. (see Reference Materials below). Upon review, the Quality Rigger Inspector signs each record as evidence that this critical form meets the regulatory requirements.
Navy Crew Back Pack Parachute Systems are assembled for proper deployment in accordance with NavAir 13-1-6.2, to include assembly, folding, stowage, and final closing of the Crew Back pack. The Quality Rigger Inspector must review this process, and at stated checkpoints, must inspect the product for conformity per drawings, internal documents, and referenced technical manuals. Upon review, the Quality Rigger Inspector signs the PRC, and, lastly, the OPNAV 4790 Record as evidence that this critical process meets the regulatory requirements.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, comprehend and utilize various technical manuals.
Familiarity with all machining procedures, methods and functions used.
Ability to perform geometry, trigonometry and algebraic calculations.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
Education and Experience:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
Technical knowledge and experience in non-destructive testing procedures including magnetic particle inspection and ultrasonic inspection. Previous machine shop and technical testing experience.
Previous experience inspecting parts, before and after machining operations, for dimension tolerances and surface finish.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
