Role Summary:
NDT Ultrasonic Level II Immersion. Perform NDT testing on Aviation Aircraft components at GE Aviation's Aviation Component Service Center.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform all required inspections, tests, and evaluations in immersion ultrasonics. Ensure all equipment, personnel, and planning is maintained in a condition of proficient operation and quality compliance. Create and maintain techniques, planning, scan plans, programming, equipment, supplies, and software quality assurance as necessary. Provide classroom and on-the-job training of inspectors when designated by Level 3 certifying agent to do so. Acquire and maintain skills as well as certification capability in U.T to accomplish production and quality requirements to support ACSC production needs. Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Retain the certification or provide documentation of past certification as described in QCWI AC-179 to perform as a certified inspector in the appropriate discipline listed below.
Level 2 in Ultrasonics
Pass the eye test requirements per NAS410.
Experience in using basic hand tools and setting up equipment, fixtures and parts for inspection including sound material and chemical handling practices, performing basic machine preventative maintenance, and performing calibration of equipment to known standards.
Desired Characteristics:
Multiple Certifications held in NDT
Technical or Vocational degree in NDT
Experience in CNC or NC equipment
Proficient in the use of shop math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and use of fractions and decimals) with the ability to learn and apply trigonometry and geometry.

Responsibilities
As the Principal Inspector (Operations) Part 121, you will function as the primary operations interface between assigned air carriers/air operators/air agencies/airman/designees and the Federal Aviation Administration. Responsibilities
The incumbent serves as a Principal Inspector (Operations) General Aviation/Part 135 in the General Aviation Unit. Conducts or directs the reexamination of certificated airmen or recertification of an operator or agency.

Coordinates Minimum Equipment List (MEL) approvals with the principal airworthiness inspectors. Takes enforcement action in instances of noncompliance with the MEL.

Approves/accepts or disapproves/rejects manuals, school curriculum, and revisions to such. Directs or participates in proving flight evaluations to determine compliance with FARs. Recommends changes that will be required prior to approval.
Is responsible for monitoring all phases of operations including: training programs and records; base and station facilities; and route systems. Coordinates with and reviews reports from geographic inspectors and others to identify trends which indicate deterioration in the safety of operations. Senior Construction Inspector
Description
Under general supervision, supervises a group of subordinate inspectors engaged in field inspection of construction activities and/or individually performs field inspection work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes and recognized standards and methods of work; is in charge of one or more construction projects.
Examples of Duties
1.Reviews and interprets design plans, specifications, blueprints and sketches and provides information on site peculiarities.
2.Ensures that site work does not damage existing utilities.
3.Ensures site is properly barricaded for the safety of workers and the public.
4.Prepares daily and weekly work progress logs and reports, Inspectors' Daily Records, and other required construction accounting, work progress and documentation logs and reports.

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, one year of professional nursing experience involving direct patient care, and one year of professional experience as an inspector or surveyor in a health-related accrediting organization or in a state or federal regulatory compliance program which involved the inspection, licensing, or complaint investigation of health care or child care facilities to determine compliance with state or federal laws and regulations; OR Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, one year of professional nursing experience involving direct patient care, and one year of professional health administration experience which involved regulatory, inspection or quality assurance responsibilities; OR one year of experience as a Health Facilities Inspector I - RN in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Special Notes Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of employment. Range Safety Inspector
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Satisfy the requirements of the government’s work plan.
- Provide range safety inspection services in accordance with MCO 3570.1C, Range Safety, Range SOPs, and Range Cards specific to corresponding ranges.
- Conduct on-site range inspections.
- Conduct an on-site range safety brief to the training unit that covers all areas of the Range Card from the Range SOP.
- Make on-site recommendations to the Officer in Charge of the training event to correct safety issues and facilitate the safe continuation of training.
- Deliver the Range Safety Officer feedback on units’ use of training facilities. Feedback shall be from review of actual training performance, personal interviews, and customer comment sheets in order to revise special instructions in range packets, Range Cards, and Range Control procedures.
- Assist with the generation and tracking of work requests to correct facility deficiencies (as required).
- Assist in the coordination of maintenance support (as required).
- Adhere to regulations, SOPs, and safety procedures within all training areas.
- Adhere to Company vehicle policies.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
- High School Diploma.
- Range Safety Distance Learning Course (MarineNet).
- One-year experience working in the range control community.

Construction Inspector - Sacramento / Northern California
Construction Inspector (Highways, Public Works and/or Bridges)
Perform inspection on State and Public Agency projects throughout California. Multiple openings are available, throughout the Sacramento Region and Northern California. Our offices are located in Oakland, San Francisco, Irvine, Richmond, Humboldt, Sacramento, Stockton, and San Jose.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, techniques, and terminology of inspection and civil engineering;
- Knowledge of surveying and construction methods, materials testing and equipment;
- Ability to determine quality, materials, and workmanship through inspection, and to determine compliance with specifications;
- Ability to write and prepare clear and concise field reports;
Experience with Caltrans procedures highly looked for, but not required. Be able to work under a Resident Engineer and be our representative in the field for our clients.
Requirements
Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the knowledge and skills, which would typically be acquired through:
- Two years of college in civil engineering or construction management and two years experience in construction
- High School Graduate or GED and four years experience in construction

Field Construction Inspector
Provide independent onsite construction quality assurance and inspection services as a high-level construction inspector to support the overall operational objectives of the Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) Oakland. The Field Construction Inspector (FCI) contractor shall provide inspection services specified herein in connection with construction projects for Government contracts as developed by Civil Engineering Unit Oakland (CEU Oakland).
Provide all onsite inspection and construction quality assurance services required to deliver completed construction project in compliance with contract documents. The number of projects assigned to the FCI shall be at the discretion of the Supervisor/Construction Section and may involve recurring overnight travel to various USCG project sites in California, Oregon and Washington. The number of concurrent projects assigned shall be limited such that assigned as per this Scope can be completed within a 40 hour standard workweek with no overtime work hours required.
Qualifications and Other
Requirements:
- The Field Construction Inspector (FCI) assigned must have knowledge of building and construction crafts since detailed inspections must be performed to ensure the required workmanship. The FCI shall be capable of reading and understanding contract drawings and specifications. Furthermore, the FCI shall have a minimum of five years of applicable experience on construction projects or other similar experience acceptable to the Contracting Officer. This experience shall include a wide range of trades including, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, and general building construction.
- Knowledge of acceptable current construction Building Codes in general, procedures and practices, materials and equipment used in the construction of buildings, public works and marine facilities. This knowledge is necessary to render determinations of satisfactory contract performance, for identification of factors which could affect contract cost, impact/delay completion time and for recognition of jobsite safety violations.
- Ability to understand and interpret construction specifications and plans. This knowledge is necessary to confer with contractor's representatives at the site and to ensure quality assurance compliance with the project design.
- Knowledge of contract administrative techniques to ensure that proper administrative procedures are followed in the initiation of contract modifications, in inspection reporting and record keeping, and in contacts with the contractor's personnel. This knowledge is also necessary to monitor the contractor's quality control program, inspections, tests, records and their specific operation controls.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating to determine the adequacy and validity of contractor's partial payment requests and to assist in making cost estimates for contract modifications.
- Skills to communicate effectively by both verbal and written means as the primary on site spokesperson to coordinate operations between the contractor and the Unit where the construction work is being accomplished, and to provide necessary through and concise information to Government and public officials. Ability to utilize Windows 10 and MS Office software as part of the standard USCG IT Workstation applications are highly desirable.
