SUMMARY
Petroleum Inspector III performs advanced inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals and refineries; also performs inspection work on board barges and ships following industry standards and the procedures published by API and Saybolt.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes the following, other duties may be assigned)
Perform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks including entering confined spaces
Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment
Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials as defined in the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets
Take product measurements and samples; accurately and promptly perform related calculations; complete required reports and forms clearly and promptly; perform inventories; do non-petroleum or chemical inspection assignments
Perform other inspection department duties assigned by the Manager or Scheduler
Exercise procedural, safety and quality requirements specified in Saybolt procedures manuals, the Global Safety Manual, and Core Laboratories/Saybolt Company polices
Attend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas inspection procedures, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials transportation, and other safety training required by applicable regulations
Gain knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures through cross training in laboratory
Inspectors may be assigned to the LOOP which would require working offshore for a week at a time.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Inspectors must have a vehicle in good, safe operating condition that can be used on the job for both personal and sample transportation in all ambient weather conditions. Vehicles used for sample transportation must be able to accommodate the secondary sample containers issued for sample transportation.
Inspectors are required to maintain the proper levels of automobile liability insurance and meet all state requirements on vehicles used for Saybolt assignments.
Inspectors must also maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Local travel and occasional out-of-town assignments are required.

Depending on the specific project, the job may require climbing to various elevations, ability to bend, twist and turn in close clearances, and crawl into confined spaces to perform required work. Role Overview
The Inspector III inspects product at all phases including; incoming from suppliers, in-process checks, FAIR's, IOS updates, and final inspection for conformity. This process ensures the quality and integrity of the material and assemblies are produced to meet drawing specifications, tolerances, corporate procedures and customer requirements. Inspector III may inspect product as a customer source or FAA delegate.
In the Inspector III role, you will…
Prepare to inspect by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections and testing requirements.
Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents; including routers, flow cards, first articles, etc.
Inspect product to verify conformance to specification and accuracy of the parts by measuring dimension using instruments such as gages, calipers, comparators, micrometers, etc.
Perform visual inspection on parts utilizing IOS books and PowerPoint slides (Source files) associated with the part to ensure product conformance.
Create first piece sheets and perform first pieces for Operators by inspecting work in progress.
Create, update, and maintain IOS books and First articles.
Fill out Paperwork (electronic and paper) such as turnback forms, inspection or test data, and entering all part transactions into SAP.
Fill out defective material forms (green sheets) and create Quality Notifications (QN's).
Train and assist less experienced peers and operators.
Actively participate in Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) activities and communicate with operations to problem solve and establish priorities.
Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S), Quality and Continuous Improvement (CI) functions as set by your leader and position.

Must be able to obtain or retain a secret clearance.” This is in case we see a need to have them to get the clearance to support a classified operation at some point during their assignment.
J-STD-001, IPC 610 and IPC 620 certification required. Knowledge of Industry standard Quality specifications.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, test procedures, MIL standards and requirements. Position requires extensive experience in mechanical and electrical inspection. Experience in inspecting circuit card assemblies, to industry standards, a must.
Must have the ability to communicate, in adequate detail, nonconformance information that is concise and accurate. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions is required. Must have adequate experience to understand and communicate how these conclusions affect the assembly, next higher assembly and customer satisfaction.
Approximately 25% travel. Weekend and overtime work may be required.
Skills:
Must have a strong understanding of configuration management and supplier quality. The ability to utilize a variety of inspection instruments and gages to properly evaluate product conformance to the requirements is a must. Tools used are, but are not limited to calipers, scales, micrometers and height gages. Experience with hardware acceptance and qualification testing is a must.
Desired:
Familiarity with TipQA system. Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Training certification(s) from ASQ. TipQA and CostPoint experience and proficiency with the use of a FARO Arm. Candidates for this position with a dual mechanical and electrical background and are proficient in both would be preferred.

PRIMARY SUMMARY:
Inspects bench-assembled production components subassemblies and final assemblies for conformance to predetermined mechanical standards, specifications, tolerance and Monadnock quality procedures by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspects parts involving numerous precision tolerance dimensions, coordinated dimensions, irregular surfaces requiring coordination in several planes, angles and contours which must be inspected by precision measuring instruments from surface plate set ups and where no inspection jigs or fixtures are available.
Review relevant documentation for compliance to operation and/or related procedures.
Uses hardness testing equipment as required. Checks above parts when made up into complicated assemblies for their usability, interchangeability and/or proper functioning.
Records quality of material approved and rejected on inspection report.
Use of Rockwell hardness tester, tensile testing machine, optical comparator, plating thickness tester.
Micro Exam, Mount Testing, Torque Testing, Metallurgical Testing, Shear or single testing and any other methods required to determine quality of parts.
May be required to determine methods of inspection to be used.
Investigate Customer Returns to ensure quality of parts and communicate corrective actions.
Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.
Attends all required job related training (internal and external).

Class Summary
The function of Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development is to promote and enhance the quality of life of residents, visitors, property owners, and businesses of Gwinnett County. The Department accomplishes its mission through programs and services that encouragehigh quality development as well as maintenance and revitalization of existing neighborhoods. The Department consists of the Administration Division, the Planning Division, and the Development Division.
The Building Inspector I, II, and III positions are responsible for the inspection of residential and commercial construction sites for compliance with architectural, structural, and erosion control control code and ordinance requirements, and applicable approved plans. Essential duties of these positions include:
Conducting field inspections of residential and commercial structures.
Preparing reports, forms, citations, and other code compliance information, and documenting in the department databases.
Responding to questions, complaints, and concerns received from developers, contractors, homeowners, and other customers pertinent to building construction and erosion control code compliance and corrective actions.
