Program Manager Insulation Services
Under the direction of the Director of Technical Services for Rope Access Industrial Services, the Program Manager, Insulation Services will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Insulation work performed by the service line. Supervise and perform all aspects of a Safway Construction project across all Safway disciplines, including scaffolding, insulation, painting, and motorized applications.
Organize, train and equip personnel to provide our customers with the safest, high quality and most productive product to meet their needs.
Work closely with the Safety Department to maintain a safe work site, free of safety hazards by monitoring compliance with project safety program requirements as well as complying with state and federal safety guidelines; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Develop pre-job plan to assure the proper Safway equipment is available per job requirements, which could require the development of layout design, estimating, bidding, and change orders.
Perform administrative duties such as yard and jobsite inventory, safety meetings, fall plans, hazard analysis, payroll timesheets, equipment rental, return tickets, change orders, time and material tickets, bill of materials, and other site paper work accurately and neatly.
Communicate and listen effectively with customer, coworkers, and branch manager. Specifically understanding the customer’s needs and communicating with Safway’s sales representative to understand contract terms.
Oversee overall manpower at the job site, always being cognizant of cost and scheduling impacts to insure the manpower is at an optimal level (i.e. minimizing overtime hours). May include driving crews to and from job sites.
Manage certain aspects of contracts (rental equipment, expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client.
Manage all aspects of ongoing construction projects in the Omaha Branch areas of responsibility.

Directly supervises all field personnel. Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws. Has completed level #1 Erector Training and has a Competent Person designation.
Has a thorough understanding of the Safway Safety and Health Procedural Manual, OSHA/VOSHA section 1926 Sub Part L, and all of Safway’s products.
Requires experience using a forklift, hammer, pry-bar, banding tools, power saws (i.e. drill motor, screw guns).
Requires excellent oral skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.
Maintain a current CDL operator’s license (not mandatory for every branch).
Requires strong leadership abilities to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks. This includes abilities that correspond to leadership, such as recruiting, selecting, training, motivating employees, and managing employee performance, developing and executing strategic business plans.

Insulation Foreman provides hands-on supervision of Insulation Team. The Insulation Team applies insulation supports, insulating materials and surface claddings and coatings to pipes, vessels, tanks, ductwork, and associated equipment or other mechanical systems to control heat loss or gain, provide personnel protection, frost protection and maintain temperature, and/or provide noise control and fire protection. The Foreman is responsible for production of the team, and must be able to perform functions of team.

· Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.
· Remove or seal off old insulation, following safety procedures.
· Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.

· Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
