Overview
The Inspector Quality Assurance (2nd shift) is responsible for performing duties related to but not limited to In-coming materials (i.e. sampling , review specification and release materials in SAP and any other related electronic database), Line Inspections in SDF, Santyl and Packaging lines, review batch records when required, perform all quality assurance activities in accordance with cGMP and standard operating procedure.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform review of C of A or C of C for in-coming materials, verify the shipments meet Halo requirements, and notify Management of any discrepancies.
Perform all sampling of raw materials, packaging components and printed material following Halo SOP, ANSI, CFR and EHS guidelines.
Perform review of QC Specification; ensure all test result met specifications requirements and release of incoming materials, packaging components and printed materials in the electronic data base; . Assign retest or expiry dates as per SOP.
Apply stickers to identify the materials status.
Perform QA inspection as per batch record in SDF, packaging lines adhering to all GMP and EHS guidelines.
Be able to work in a sterile environment.
Review packaging and manufacturing batch records, perform calculations and yields.
Perform AQL inspection and correctly identify a defect.
Review and release bathes in SAP for shipment.
Assist with other QA related tasks as delegated by QA Manager.
Completes TrackWise assignments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of ANSI sampling plans
Working computer knowledge; (familiarity in SAP R/3, TrackWise a plus), spreadsheet and database computer programs.
Communicates and multi-tasks effectively.

2nd Shift: 1:30PM - 10:00PM Monday through Friday
Position Overview:
Phillips-Medisize, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to perform inspections per control plans/inspection plans, document results, identify, contain, and document all defective/suspect product.
Essential Functions:
Perform Receiving Inspection. Approve incoming materials by conforming to engineering specifications, conducting a visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Perform Final Confirmation and Final Audit Inspection. Approve all finished products or subcomponents by conforming specifications and conducting required test and measurements and rejecting unacceptable products.
Issue Quality Notification Report for non-conformance products.
Accurately record process documentation. Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
Must be able to effectively communicate and train new employees and continually assist them in performance of duties.
Must be able to work in a lean 6S environment.
Must be able to interpret, read and follow all work instructions, engineering drawings and test procedures.
Must comply with all safety requirements including; manufacturing and quality practices and procedures, standard operating procedures and quality documentation.
Position Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of directly related quality inspection experience.
Knowledge of incoming, in-process and finished product inspection techniques.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
Basic measurement skills using a variety of hand tools and electronic equipment such as rulers, scales, gages, micrometers, calipers, multi.ohm.volt meter, Cirris test box, x-ray machine and similar items.
Good written and oral communication skills; must have the ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing and in person.
MUST be able to read, review, and interpret ALL Work Instructions for Quality.
Good analytical skills including the ability to identify potential problems. Capable of both communicating and understanding the English language.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs or assists in performing quality assurance responsibilities in routine tasks to apply, and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products for a premier medical device company. This is an entry-level position and normally receives general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions for new activities. Under close supervision, works with quality assurance and manufacturing personnel to ensure effective inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained. Will work inside of a Controlled Access Environment, or Cleanroom, with full gowning to protect product.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews device history records, manufacturing records and Quality Assurance records to verify that the information is accurate and complete and that all the specifications have been met.
Closely follows all procedures and specifications and accurate in performing tasks. Must employ good documentation practices in all aspects of the job.
Ensures that product, at all stages of inspection, maintains proper identification, traceability, and inspection and test status.
Performs general receiving inspection, in-process, and final inspection of product, packaging and labeling.
Conducts visual, dimensional and functional inspection, as directed by quality assurance procedures and other specifications.
Ensures measurement, test and inspection equipment is calibrated and in good condition.
Generates non-conformance reports.
Fills out, organizes, reviews, maintains and archives quality control records.
Performs other duties as required by the Quality Assurance Operations management.
Performs all job functions within a Controlled Access Environment with full gowning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires an AA degree or technical education with a minimum of one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be knowledgeable in using measurement equipment and tools such as calipers, gages, micrometers, etc.
Experience in or familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA GMP, ISO and Quality Systems Regulations.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of basic inspection techniques.
Proficiency in using basic math skills to obtain test and inspection results.
Previous experience in the medical device industry preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be familiar with current software such as Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to lift weight up to 50 lbs.

Job Description:
The QA Inspector's main responsibility is to work collaboratively with the Manufacturing team to inspect production during the manufacturing and packaging process while taking into consideration the company's commitment to sustainability (people, the planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.

Quality Assurance Inspector
Major Responsibilities
Ensure quality by conducting lab tests of resin or film in the lab and on the line, and give breaks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow and support all Company safety, ISO and GMP policies
Conduct Elmendorf tear tests as needed
Conduct dart drop tests as required
Gauge film using Measure Tech as required
Give breaks to Machine Tender/Packer per shift requirements
Perform quality checks on all lines and take appropriate action on non-conforming product
Report non-conformances to Lead Quality Auditor and/or Shift Supervisor
Label packaging as needed during shift and ensure 4 hours of labeled packaging into the next shift
Use computer to run labels, schedules and spec sheets
Fill in for Lead Quality Auditor as requested
Estimate production rates and coordinate with other Lead Auditor and other Quality Auditors
Verify that production orders are setup correctly (resin, additive, packaging, routing, etc.)

A Quality Inspector communicates deviations from quality specifications, control limits, and other requirements, as well as trends approaching deviation to fellow employees in the respective production areas, including supervisors and managers as needed, in a timely and effective manner so that corrective action can be implemented.

Molding Inspection:
- Collect shots and samples from the production floor.

Desired Skills:
1-2 years 5th Generation (F-35, F-22) Fighter Aircraft experience in Modification, Maintenance and/or Quality Assurance roles.
Contractor Field Team (CFT) experience.
Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Working knowledge of Action Requests (AR).
Familiar with DCMA Instruction 8210.1C associated in aircraft ground operations and maintenance procedures.
Familiar with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101 and/or OPNAV 4790 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) instructions.
Experience with USAF Maintenance Standard Evaluation Program (MSEP) and associated data base.
Familiar with International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2008 & AS9100C aviation standards.
Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) internal audit processes.
Ability to identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to Safety-of-Flight inspections, procedural breakdowns and/or program (process) audits.
Experience with evaluating process compliance, write/review Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses and plans.
Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer (DCMA/GCQA), COR/QAE and maintainers regarding quality issues, Instrumentation System Integration, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
Capable of conducting teleconference and/or briefing (presentation) to management/customer.
