Inspector - Shipping
CRS is a leader in the after-market support for the corporate aviation community. This role is a Quality Inspector position that includes all internal type inspections that are performed as well as shipping, receiving, and warehouse responsibilities. The functions and roles require multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize the minutes and task of the work day. The job of Quality Inspector at CRS is a diverse and demanding position.
· Inspection of incoming airworthy components for visual defects
· Inspection of all documentation of incoming airworthy components

Questions Description The Oregon Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for one Shipping Point Inspector 1 position in the Milton-Freewater area, district you report to is Hermiston. The Shipping Point Inspector 1 position exists in the fresh fruit and vegetable inspection, and grading program of the Market Access and Certification Program Area.
These are state and federal-state programs employing state auditors and inspectors., The program is totally fee-supported by the industry being served. The program purpose includes: audits and inspections performed as a service to producers and packers, aiding them in marketing their products through U.S. and world commerce channels; impartial third party inspection of product to determine grades of fruits, nuts and vegetables to satisfy dealings between buyers and sellers. This is a major program involving five Shipping Point Inspection districts and approximately 35 inspectors throughout the state and affects millions of dollars of fresh produce annually.
The program is an integral part of the Department of Agriculture's mission to provide service to the agricultural industry, assisting in the orderly movement and marketing of fresh agricultural commodities. The Shipping Point Inspector 1 position provides traditional shipping point inspections and certification of nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables. Renders grade and certification decisions based on laws, standards and procedures.
Inspections and over-site inspections may be performed as mandatory requirements of state and federal marketing laws, or to satisfy contract requirements between producers and processors. Audits of process may be performed as a voluntary service to meet buyer requirements. Uses written instructions, procedures and policies for all aspects of inspection including, but not limited to; sampling, inspection and certification of product.
May travel to other districts and/or participate in other agency programs. Duties & Responsibilities Certification of nuts, fruits and vegetables in traditional shipping point inspection applications. This includes sampling and inspection of sample; records notes and writes certificates of grade or inspection reports with all pertinent information on the kind of product, variety, brand, manifest, car or truck numbers, container size and type, etc.
Certificates must be neat, legible, accurate and otherwise suitable as evidence in a court of law. Uses scales, refractometers, pressure tester, sizing rings, probes, knife, moisture meter and other equipment as necessary. Works closely with industry in scheduling inspections between multiple assignments.
Enforces compliance with state and federal laws or marketing orders pertaining to packing, inspection, labeling, transporting, sale or quarantine. May perform audits within the programs various audit functions. Other duties as assigned.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Dispatcher is responsible for directing, coordinating, and executing the activities of inbound and outbound trucks in a courteous and professional manner. Process check-in forms, ensuring information matches data in the SAP.
Identify and assign open dock space to drivers utilizing the Client Prioritization list.
Scan and email inbound truck Bills of Lading (BOLs) to multiple internal departments.
Generate customer orders and assign to loading team members.
Partner with the Sales and Production teams to resolve Product Availability issues, and update order data in multiple databases.
Confirm order completion by providing finalized BOLs and other appropriate documents as set per customer contract.
Scan and electronically file signed BOLs.
Assign reason codes to trucks that exceed Truck Turnaround Time standard.
Ensure the accurate input of shipping databases (i.e. Excel, I-Trade, SAP).
Resolve all customer and driver shipment loading issues (telephone, email, and in person) and respond in a way that provides the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Cooperate with supervisors and managers and ensure compliance with all Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21 - Section 110.
Put all necessary information into PCIT to create Phyto documentation and provide county inspector with needed product to create the documents.
Keep recorder inventory up to date.
Print out all emails and orders for fed ex samples orders for appointed loader. Create labels for the Fed Ex samples in a timely manner.
Answer phones in a professional manner, this includes answering any questions for dispatchers, brokers, sales rep, etc.
Execute all reports on a regular basis; Load Times, Dock KPI and Missed Appointments.
Keep al logs updated such as shortages and/or inventory discrepancies.
Maintain focus on the company’s top 5 customers and ensuring they get loaded in a timely manner to prevent high load times.
Maintain daily reports for the daily pass meeting (short sheet, missing del notes, etc)
Ensure that all Geo recorders are submitted into the Sensitech website.
Follow up with allocations sent out by inventory group to maintain proper rotation and reduce dumps in warehouse.
Proactively assist team members, managers and employees as needed.
Maintain composure under difficult circumstances and effectively deal with customers and drivers when they are angry or upset.
Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
Communicate special instructions or possible issues that may affect cross-functional groups during shift changes.

Description: Construction Inspector Trainee, Inspector and Senior Inspector:
Immediate openings in the Northern Virginia area (Arlington County, Prince William County, Fairfax County, City of Alexandria, Stafford County, Northern Fauquier County, and Loudoun County) for qualified transportation and heavy civil Construction Inspector Trainees, Inspectors and Senior Inspectors, including on VDOT, locality and Design-Build projects. The Inspector is responsible for managing and performing daily construction management and inspection services for various types of VDOT and locality transportation projects. Must have experience in roadway/bridge construction, have VDOT certifications, be proficient at reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings as well as overseeing construction document controls and enforcing contract compliance.
