Job Summary:
Provide training administrative services at a Fortune 100 company. This role works with external vendors in securing instructors, coordinating with internal instructors, setting up courses in the Learning Management System (LMS), and working with program owners to carry out specific requirements and reporting related to the program curriculum.
Other responsibilities include:
Partnering with program owners to successfully implement and execute on new training curriculum. This includes identifying the key tasks, determining due dates, and working to ensure course setup and class logistics are completed timely and accurately.
Reporting on essential training data including enrollments, completions, and evaluations.
Reviewing report data and following up with program participants as necessary
Monitoring course enrollments, marketing courses with low enrollment with the goal of achieving 90% of all courses meeting minimum enrollment.
Forecasting and scheduling classes
Working with external vendors to schedule courses.
Assisting employees with enrollment and answering questions.
Coordinating class set-up including rooms, equipment, materials and books
Processing class rosters for course completion
Qualifications:
Prior experience in administration/coordination/event planning or related area
Ability to manage multiple screens/applications at once on your computer
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively via telephone and e-mail with customers and peers

Senior Product Manager, Type
The Senior Product Manager for the Type team oversees the Product Management and Product Development functions for the three Type teams: Adobe Typekit, Core Type, and the Adobe Type design team that produces original typefaces like Adobe Clean, Myriad, Garamond, Minion, and many more.

Key Responsibilities include:
The main focus of Dr Reijonen's research is the understanding of the cause of type 1 diabetes and translating this knowledge into immune therapies with the ultimate goal to cure the disease. Gained knowledge of the genetic and mechanistic pathways leading to the destruction of the insulin producing beta cells by the individual's own immune system will be translated into targeted intervention strategies to stop this process and protect beta-cells.
We also aim at the discovery of immune correlates that can predict progression of type 1 diabetes before the clinical symptoms of the disease appear. These immune correlates are also valuable for the monitoring of the outcomes of islet transplantation in type 1 diabetes patients and in the evaluation of efficacy of the targeted therapies in diverse patient populations.

Summary
The Courier I is primarily responsible for protecting company assets by performing secure transport duties, including loss prevention during transport and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs shipping verification, including counting physical inventory and comparing counts with METRC manifest and verifying invoice accuracy for every shipment of state-regulated products. Maintains knowledge of cash handling policies and transports currency, coinage and bank deposits per company policy. The Courier II reports to the Transport Manager who manages all Transport Department staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Transports approved items only, using appropriate company vehicles, based on the type of item being transported

DEFINITION:
Assists in and learns inspection and enforcement activities related to Federal, State and local agricultural and/or weights and measures laws, regulations, ordinances and policies for consumer and agricultural industry protection.
CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS:
This is the entry-level class in the Agricultural/Weights and Measures Series. Positions in this class are characterized by responsibility for assisting in and learning to perform regulatory inspections and to enforce appropriate ordinances, laws and regulations associated with agricultural and weights and measures standards enforcement.
Incumbents work under the close supervision of a journey-level inspector and must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to perform mathematical calculations including algebraic functions. These positions require analytical ability sufficient to define problems of inspection or enforcement, and to develop and recommend methods for resolution of such problems. Incumbents learn techniques for the collection and analysis of data for the preparation of written reports, and use common personal computers for the preparation of reports, data entry and data retrieval.
Incumbents drive departmental or personal vehicles on a regular and frequent basis, and may be required to lift and carry test equipment, agricultural products, or other objects up to 50 pounds in weight. Positions in this class perform arduous tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting heavy objects in the performance of their duties.
Essential Job Functions
Inspects commercial scales for accuracy in markets and other commercial establishments; drives County vehicles to various work locations throughout the County of Los Angeles; prepares written reports, inspection certificates, citations or other notices of violations; enforces pesticide use laws and regulations; performs inspection procedures for fruits and vegetables and egg quality standards; uses inspection techniques for plants and plant material for pest organisms; inspects produce cases, nursery stock, commodities, and other packaged goods weighing 25 pounds or more; uses a variety of hand-held or other equipment such as, but not limited to, refractometers, scales, graduated measures, hydrometers and lap top or table computers; prepares daily and monthly reports of activities; warns violators or infractions or penalties; receives and applies training in the safe and effective use of various tolls and equipment utilized in any inspection, investigation, or enforcement activities that may be assigned; detects exotic pests such as foreign insects; uses a variety of mathematical formulae, including algebra; and collects samples from animals, plants, or products and routes them to laboratories for microbiological assessment, pests, or other testing.

LICENSE:
A valid State of California Weights and Measures license in either Weight Verification

EXAMINATION CONTENT:
This examination will consist of a written test weighted 100% that consists of both computerized and paper-and-pencil components covering Written Expression, Reading Comprehension, Data Analysis and Decision-Making, Office Practices and Procedures, Customer Service, Achievement Orientation, Dependability, Customer Service Potential, Customer Focus, Conscientiousness, and Retention.
Applicants must meet the Selection Requirements and achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on the written test in order to be placed on the eligible register.
THE WRITTEN TEST IS NOT REVIEWABLE BY CANDIDATES PER CIVIL SERVICE RULE 7.19.
TRANSFER OF SCORES:
Applicants that have taken identical written test part(s) for other exams within the last 12 months will have their written test responses for the identical test part(s) automatically transferred to this examination.
This examination contains test parts that may be used in the future for new examinations. Your scores will be transferred to the new examination and you may not be allowed to re-take any identical test parts for at least 12 months.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Qa/Qc Inspector
Description:
- Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild and maintain power equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges, replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and test overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency.
- Weld broken parts and structural members, may direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment, and may repair, adjust and maintain mining machinery, such as stripping and loading shovels, drilling and cutting machines, and continuous mining machines.
- Monitors work of less experienced mechanics
- Provides technical assistance in diagnosing problems beyond the capability of assigned personnel.

Requirements:
- Lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 70 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds.

DEFINITION:
Performs inspections and investigations to enforce Federal, State and local agricultural, weights and measures, fire, health and safety laws, regulations, ordinances and policies for the protection of such constituent groups as consumers, agriculture, and industry.
CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS:
Positions allocable to this journey-level class typically report to a Deputy Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer and may receive technical direction from an Agricultural/Weights & Measures Inspector III. Incumbents in this class independently perform inspection and enforcement activities, prepare and issue written notices of violation, investigate code violations, analyze information, prepare reports of findings and recommend action.
Incumbents are expected to know and exercise a broad knowledge of Federal and State laws and ordinances regulating the use of pesticides, including chemical properties and hazards, plant and pest quarantines, and standardization of scales, meters, and labeling of consumer products. Incumbents may gather evidence and testify as an expert witness in complex administrative, civil or criminal actions. Positions in this class may be assigned to special departmental projects or programs.
Although most assignments are in either agricultural or weights and measures, position assignments may require rotation through any of the various departmental assignments. Positions in this class perform tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting objects over 25 lbs in the performance of their duties. Some positions may be required to drive and operate large scale inspection vehicles, operate cranes with 250 pounds or more test weights, and/or operate other large vehicles or equipment.

Requirements
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited* college or university with specialization in one or more appropriate disciplines in agricultural science, biological science, chemical science, physical science, mathematics, and/or statistics, including the completion of college level courses in both Botany and Entomology
- AND- either:
OPTION I: Two years of paid work experience* at the level of the Los Angeles County class of Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector I.
OPTION II: Two years of paid work experience* performing weights and measures inspection, calibration and related functions.
OPTION III: Two years of paid work experience* performing agricultural inspection and enforcement.
LICENSE:
Two valid State of California weights and measures licenses covering Weight Verification and Measurement Verification
AND- Three agricultural licenses covering Commodity Regulation, Pest Prevention and Plant Regulation, and Pesticide Regulation
AND- A valid California Class C Driver License is required to perform job-related essential functions. Some positions may require a Class A or Class B license.

Possession of current and valid National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM) professional certificates covering Small Capacity Weighing Systems Class III, Medium Capacity Weighing Systems, Large Capacity Scales Exam, Retail Motor Fuel Dispensing Systems, LMDVTM: Vehicle Tank Meters, and Package Checking Basic.
A Master's Degree from an accredited* college or university in any related fields of agricultural, weights and measures, and public or business administration.
Completion of advanced courses from an accredited* college or university in agricultural, weights and measures, supervision, business management or human resources.

EXAMINATION CONTENT:
This examination will consist of two (2) parts:
PART I: An evaluation of training, experience, and the desirable qualifications based on the application information weighted 50%.
PART II: An Appraisal of Promotability evaluating oral and written communication, work knowledge and skills, interpersonal and public relations, decision making and problem solving, adaptability and dependability, and work habits and productivity weighted 50%.
CANDIDATES MUST ACHIEVE A PASSING SCORE OF 70% OR HIGHER ON EACH WEIGHTED PART OF THE EXAMINATION IN ORDER TO BE PLACED ON THE ELIGIBLE REGISTER.
ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION:
The names of candidates receiving a passing score in the examination will be placed on the eligible register in the order of their score group for a period of twelve (12) months following the date of eligibility.
