The purpose of the class is to ensure all City street lighting electrical distribution infrastructure is maintained and operating. The class is responsible for installing and maintaining street lights and transformers, running and maintaining wire and switch systems, repairing overhead and underground cables and voltage lines, and responding to all emergency calls such as those from fire, police, and Virginia Power.
