ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ANINSULATORfalls into the
medium physical demand category and will report directly to the Lead Insulator. 1. Displays a positive attitude towards Safety, Quality, Policy and Procedures. 2.
Has the knowledge of and exercises all of OSHA, Brand and Customer policies at job site. 3. Complete a qualified Job Safety Plan identifying the hazards and risks and implement necessary controls. 4. Select and use proper PPE as identified on the JSP. 5.
Demonstrate proper site preparation prior to removal of old insulation from surfaces and for the application of new insulation. 6. Apply brush and spray adhesives or attach metal adhesive backed pins to surfaces as necessary to facilitate application of insulation material. 7. Demonstrates the proper selection of required insulation material for the job specification. 8.
Select and ensure that insulation materials comply with the project specifications. 9. Utilizes Scaffolds, portable power lifts, or elevated permanent structures for access to work above ground level. 10. Cover or seals insulation with preformed covers, sealant, tape, wire, or metal bands to secure the insulation to the structure according to the type of insulation used and structure covered. 11.
Utilizes scaffoldings or uses portable lift to work above ground level. 12. Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies using proper lift technique. 13. Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment. 14.
Participate in the tool box talk 15. Complete other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor 16. Must complete level 3 of Mentoring Program until elevated by Supervisor or Competent Person to next level.

Insulation Foreman provides hands-on supervision of Insulation Team. The Insulation Team applies insulation supports, insulating materials and surface claddings and coatings to pipes, vessels, tanks, ductwork, and associated equipment or other mechanical systems to control heat loss or gain, provide personnel protection, frost protection and maintain temperature, and/or provide noise control and fire protection. The Foreman is responsible for production of the team, and must be able to perform functions of team.
