Bearing Quality Inspector
Support the Elliott Quality Management System by performing various quality control inspection functions. This will be primarily accomplished within the Bearing Manufacturing Center, where the Quality Inspector will record NDE results and dimensional inspections of the finished manufactured components.
Reads and interprets work orders, assembly and detail drawings, special instructions, process specifications, standard procedures, material specifications, etc.
Uses a variety of measuring devices to inspect material for conformance to drawing tolerances, quality standards, and completeness of the operation.
Performs in-process and final NDT of manufactured components as needed.
Initiates Scrap and Rework Reports.
Maintains documentation for shop and inspection instrumentation calibration.
Uses shop mathematics.
Stamps and identifies material which has been inspected.
Receives instructions from the Quality Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.
Contacts Manufacturing Supervisor regarding any irregularities.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows all safety rules.
Maintains and initiates documentation and data as required.
Plans daily inspection requirements based on previous day's backlog and other urgent requirements.
Inspects material as required in the receiving / inspection area.
Reviews material test reports from suppliers as required for compliance to the Elliott specifications.
Visually inspects, reviews all Work Scopes for completion of work, and signs off parts at final inspection.
Uses a chemical analyzer and hardness tester to determine the material specification of various metals.
High school education or equivalent, advanced, specialized technical training.
Must be able to read and interpret work scopes, mechanical drawings, special instructions, procedures, specifications, etc.
Minimum of 5 years of industrial or manufacturing inspection experience.
Certified to ASNT Level 1 in PT, UT, and VT.
Highly qualified candidates will have their ASNT Level 2 certification in PT, UT, and VT.
Experience in the use of various measuring tools and NDT equipment.
Familiarity of Microsoft Excel and Word

Purpose of Position
This role is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all financial information for Ohio Bearing plants' activities (Bucyrus, Gambrinus Roller and New Philadelphia). As a member of the each plant's management team, the Plant Controller is responsible for driving the financial performance of each plant and ensuring that economic rigor is applied to the decision-making process. This includes efforts to reduce invested capital, improve cash flow, and drive continuous improvement in cost and productivity.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements/KPI reports for the three Ohio Bearing plants in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
Proactively partner with plant management and the Controller's group to ensure that all parties have a clear and accurate picture of the plants overall financial performance.
Lead the preparation of the plants' business planning process, incorporating productivity and cost targets for both manufacturing and sourcing.
Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and provide plant and operations leadership with insight and commentary for all major variances from both plan and prior forecast.
Provide financial guidance for all plant capital investments and related business case justifications.
Lead and drive plant cost reduction efforts, holding plant management team responsible for delivering annual cost reductions and productivity improvements.
Develop and maintain accurate standard cost data for all products, working with both product teams and business management on new product development and new business opportunities.
Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
Develop necessary inventory polices and controls to ensure integrity of financial statements.
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.

Gas Bearing Specialist
As the pioneer and world leader of the oil-free centrifugal compressor product category, the enterprise is dedicated to the design, manufacture, marketing and support of the world's most efficient commercial refrigerant compressors. The result is the world's first totally oil-free compressor specifically designed for the HVAC industry.
As the Gas Bearing Engineer, the primary work tasks relate to new product development. The nature of the work will be heavily R&D initially. You will be responsible for the development of gas bearing (especially foil bearing) technologies for the new platforms of oil-free compressors to expand the product portfolio, from definition of the customer/product requirements to concept validation and product implementation. The gas bearing technologies are applied in turbo compressors, while various refrigerant gas is used as the lubrication fluid.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify the right gas bearing technologies for the targeted applications.
Define requirements for internal as well as external tasks relating to the gas bearing technology development and implementation.
Define specifications for design, simulation and testing tools/equipment required to assess the identified gas bearing technologies; ensure the procurement or development of these tools/equipment.
Validate the identified gas bearing technologies and designs by modeling, simulations and experiment.
Responsible to qualify the identified gas bearing technologies by implementing appropriate testing equipment and testing methodologies.
Define and conduct experiments in both characterizing the dynamic properties of the bearings / rotordynamics, as well as reliability.
Work with cross functional team to ensure proper integration of the gas bearings with the rest of system.
Collaborate with cross functional teams within product development, manufacturing engineering and procurement groups to ensure manufacturability, assembly feasibility, serviceability, and reliability.
Participate in other new technology research and development projects
Deliver design documentation following Turbocor technology and product development processes.

Sets up and operates grinding machines such as Surface and universal, carbide, drill, and tool and cutter grinders. Sharpens cutting tools to specifications using blueprints, process sheets, and knowledge of abrasive and metal properties. Follows established company policies, procedures, directives, military specifications, and grinding disciplines.
Reviews blueprints and process specifications and plans grinding sequence. Selects grinding wheel of appropriate shape and grads.
Checks wheel for crack and attaches to spindle using wrenches. Positions and secures cutting tool on machine table, using magnetic chuck, vice, or holding fixture, or mounts cutter on arbor and clamps between centers. Turns hand wheels to position table or spindle to obtain specified taper, angle, bevel, size, etc. on edges of cutting tools.
Moves controls to set cutting tool rotation speed, feed rate, and grinding wheel rotation speed. May set up adjustable tooth rests and rotate cutter by hand to individually sharpen each tooth on cutter. Re-sharpens and maintains all deep hole drills.
Starts machine and turns wheel or engages feed to move workpiece to grinding wheel or vice-versa. These are extra-help, non-regular positions classified as Public Service Employees and receive no benefits. These temporary positions will be employed for seasonal help, up to 12 months, and will vary in assigned weekly hours.
Successful candidates shall be considered at-will throughout the term of their employment, and will not attain regular status. All new employees must adhere to the provisions of the County Dress Code, which prohibits all visible tattoos. Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment.
Applications will be processed continuously and qualified candidates will be contacted to interview as vacancies occur, so it is to your advantage to apply as soon as possible.
We currently have vacancies for lifeguards, childcare aides, cashiers, and recreation assistants; applications may be kept on file for up to six months to fill other vacancies as needed.
