Bearing Quality Inspector
Support the Elliott Quality Management System by performing various quality control inspection functions. This will be primarily accomplished within the Bearing Manufacturing Center, where the Quality Inspector will record NDE results and dimensional inspections of the finished manufactured components.
Reads and interprets work orders, assembly and detail drawings, special instructions, process specifications, standard procedures, material specifications, etc.
Uses a variety of measuring devices to inspect material for conformance to drawing tolerances, quality standards, and completeness of the operation.
Performs in-process and final NDT of manufactured components as needed.
Initiates Scrap and Rework Reports.
Maintains documentation for shop and inspection instrumentation calibration.
Uses shop mathematics.
Stamps and identifies material which has been inspected.
Receives instructions from the Quality Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.
Contacts Manufacturing Supervisor regarding any irregularities.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows all safety rules.
Maintains and initiates documentation and data as required.
Plans daily inspection requirements based on previous day's backlog and other urgent requirements.
Inspects material as required in the receiving / inspection area.
Reviews material test reports from suppliers as required for compliance to the Elliott specifications.

Purpose of Position
This role is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all financial information for Ohio Bearing plants' activities (Bucyrus, Gambrinus Roller and New Philadelphia). As a member of the each plant's management team, the Plant Controller is responsible for driving the financial performance of each plant and ensuring that economic rigor is applied to the decision-making process. This includes efforts to reduce invested capital, improve cash flow, and drive continuous improvement in cost and productivity.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements/KPI reports for the three Ohio Bearing plants in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
Proactively partner with plant management and the Controller's group to ensure that all parties have a clear and accurate picture of the plants overall financial performance.
Lead the preparation of the plants' business planning process, incorporating productivity and cost targets for both manufacturing and sourcing.
Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and provide plant and operations leadership with insight and commentary for all major variances from both plan and prior forecast.
Provide financial guidance for all plant capital investments and related business case justifications.
Lead and drive plant cost reduction efforts, holding plant management team responsible for delivering annual cost reductions and productivity improvements.
Develop and maintain accurate standard cost data for all products, working with both product teams and business management on new product development and new business opportunities.
Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
Develop necessary inventory polices and controls to ensure integrity of financial statements.
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.

Lubricates machines, checks and fills reservoirs, etc. on a daily basis.

Workers in this position perform buffing/polishing and repair of various types of metal finishes, (e.g., satin finishes, skin quality), polishers must be knowledgeable of grain direction and the repair process on these finishes.

Rack production parts (e, g. extrusions, and stowbin rails), dip in sulfuric acid tank, remove from rack and buff off residual acid.
Block sand to remove/blend irregularities, as required.
Hand clean part with solvent and brush on alodine 1000 to protect part from corrosion, as required.
Check work after completion of process, sell in process or completed operation to inspector, as required.
Visually inspect exterior skin quality production parts, at factory work area or on aircraft flightline for skin irregularities (e.g., scratches, cracks, pits, dents, orange peel and dull finishes), as required.
Obtain work tools (e.g., polishing wheel, air motor, wheel pads) and proper polishing/buffing compounds, as required.
Obtain proper (PPE) personal protective equipment (e.g., hood, facemask, safety harness, respirator), as required.
Operate and work from various types of manual/mechanical lifts (e.g., snorkel lift, scissor lift, cherry picker and platform stacker), to access work area, as required.
Clean skin quality surface with solvent prior to masking, polishing, repair and/or tankline processing, as required.
