Screw Machine Operator
Position Summary: $19.86 -20.39
Completes processes towards the manufacturing of components.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates one or more multiple-spindle bar fed or secondary operation screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanism to perform series of machining operations on metal bar stock or near net blanks, following operator instructions and procedures.
Reads documents such as operating instructions, tool layouts, quality control plans, and inspection forms for such information as identifying tooling and understanding type and frequency of required quality audits.
Loads stock into and unloads finish part from appropriate material handling. Starts and stops machine within safe operating practices. Verifies conformance of 1st piece and subsequent run to specifications using go and no go flush pin or snap gages, gauge fixtures, micrometers and dial indicators.
Correctly identifies, labels, and handles productive & non-productive material. Records and submits required paperwork regarding productivity and quality of operation.
Able to assist and follow instructions of Lead Operator and be willing to improve skills through daily interaction and corresponding training by Lead Operator.
Required Skills

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Machine parts which have multiple features.
- Operate a variety of machine types or multiple non-complex machines at a time.
- Maintain an existing process which would include but not limited to: offset machine tools, change tooling as required, load material.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure that product quality and specifications are achieved.
- Inspect completed work independently using advanced measurement / inspection tools.
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Monitor SPC data / trends to ensure process control.
- Prepare future jobs while machines are manufacturing product.

- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, bench operations and inspect.

As a CNC Machine Operator you will set up and operate various types of machinery (i.e. CNC, Chemical Finishing, Packaging, Vibratory, Pneumatic, Manual and/or automatic) in assigned cell, in order to produce various types of Medical instruments and implants. Equipment used depends on product being manufactured or operation being performed and may vary from cell to cell or department. Ensures production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to, and safety rules are followed.
Responsibilities:
The Machine Operator sets up and operates diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of Medical devices/implants (establish products and/or testing new products) within established manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
The operations performed depend on cell assignment and product that is being manufactured but may include minor machine programming.
The Machine Operator is responsible for the following activities, assembly, chemical finishing, laser etching, packaging/labeling, vibratory finishing, cutting raw material, drilling, milling, bending, deburring, buffing, as well as some work on other types of machines and tools within the manufacturing environment.
Other equipment used may be CNC, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Manual, or automatic and includes, but is not limited to various types of lathes, mills, grinders, hex, roll flows, vibratory machines, drill presses, jack rabbits, bead blaster, grinding wheels, buffer, bench presses, etc.
All operators use various types of measuring instruments including, numerous types of gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, conductivity meters, and digital titrators for chemical analysis.
All operators use diverse types of hand tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to adjust or change tooling or fixtures for set up changes or quality adjustments.
The Machine Operator is also responsible for following process sheets and using individual judgment, performs first piece inspection and in process quality checks. This is done both visually and mechanically.
Adjusts set up or changes tooling/chemistry as necessary to maintain quality levels,
Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on a regular basis such as, but not limited to, checking and replacing coolant, checking fluid oils, emptying metal chips, maintenance regarding equipment breakdowns, and process chemical maintenance,
Completes rework, as necessary, on products rejected by inspection,
Works with other production areas and cell leaders, as necessary, to resolve quality problems, Provides input to cell leader or supervisor for more efficient cell operations, tooling, fixture design, layout, and cell organization, and works following appropriate safety practices in order to prevent accidents to self or co-workers.
The Machine Operator knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.

Qualifications
A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
A minimum of six months of job experience that would demonstrate mechanical aptitude, such as machine operator, maintenance work, etc. is required. Strong math skills and the ability to learn metrics is required.
Must have the ability to work in conditions that may be hot, cold, wet, and/or noisy on a daily basis. Exposure to fumes from chemicals, oil, coolants, etc. is regular with appropriate PPE.
Must be able to be on your feet for the duration of the shift.
Lifting 5 to 20 pounds is required on a regular basis and heavy lifting (i.e. 50 pounds and over) is also required on occasion.
This position requires daily commute to West Chester, PA for the 3rd shift position.

Your Role as a Coin Machine Room Operator
In branch locations around the world, we're doing critical work that keeps modern commerce moving. We verify bank deposits, prepare shipments for local businesses and connect money from one place to the next. Members of our Coin Room team drive the production of our facilities, ensuring machines are operational and accuracy is maintained.
Additional responsibilities include:

Job Description:
Specific Accountabilities:
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Work safely and comply with all safety rules.
Clear jams and keep line running at standard speed.
Minimize the creation of waste and rework.
Communicate appropriate information to supervision and other employees.
Keep work area clean and keep empty cap boxes stacked neatly on a pallet.
Put appropriate bottle caps in the bottle cap hopper and keep it full.
Monitor Bottle Filler operation to include: filler speeds, in-feed and discharge conveyors, run out at changeover, and clearing capper or filler jams.
Observe closure integrity prior to restart.
Observe product condition and taste all flavors at each flavor change and hourly thereafter.
Assist with product and package changeovers.
Responsible for clearing overhead jams outside the Filler Room from the Rinser to the Filler.
Maintain appropriate documentation and related reports. (i.e. downtime tracking)
Perform all necessary Quality checks.
Responsible for reworking out-of-spec product created during the shift.
Responsible for following work aids and operating procedures.
Fill out maintenance log at the machine whenever any adjustments are made.
Have an understanding of SQF, responsible for Food Safety /Food Quality and to notify a person with the authority to take action for any Food Safety or Food Quality issue.
