A Kiln Lift is a skilled level position that is responsible for operating the forklift in the kilns department that moves lumber and other materials.
Entry level responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate the ability to operate kilns in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and rules including general safety rules, SWP's, ZES, Hazard Communication and all other rules. Demonstrate the ability to be a team player by:
Participating in team meetings, contributing by asking questions, and listening to what is being said, being constructive and tactful with all team members, treating everyone with respect, utilizing downtime or slow time to enhance the appearance and/or productivity of work area
Must maintain all kiln drying records
Demonstrate ability to load and unload kilns using forklift
Must assist and coordinate in the greasing of kiln motors and cars
Must check kiln fans for rotation
Learn and demonstrate ability to operate computer system at kilns
Must make adjustments on drying schedules as needed
Must perform daily moisture checks
Must demonstrate ability and willingness to assist electrical/mechanical personnel with any work in the kiln area
Must document problems and communicate with maintenance personnel daily
Demonstrate initiative and innovation be developing new ideas and initiating action and showing willingness to deviate from traditional approaches
Must be able to fire boiler in a safe manner
Must become knowledgeable of boiler controls and purpose of each
Learn and demonstrate emergency operating and shutdown procedures
Must be able to perform Basic Care
Must have ability to learn all equipment and be able to perform these duties
All other duties as assigned
Basic Care is the inspection, cleaning and adjustment of process equipment by operating personnel on a frequent basis to ensure proper equipment operation and early detection before they become equipment failures. Basic Care is an essential component in our effort to improve overall process reliability by engaging operating production employees in a systematic approach to find equipment defects before the defects can cause a failure. Making repairs to equipment, prior to failure, results in improved process availability and reduced repair cost. Basic Care along with Reliability principles will be used to reduce process failure of the equipment.
Must be able to perform the following key phases of Basic Care routes:
Inspection of equipment
Servicing and minor adjustments to the equipment (when necessary)
Cleaning of the equipment
Documentation and reporting of results
Required skills and experience include:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment
Ability to bend, twist, lift, climb, stand throughout the duration of the shift
Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Minimum of six (6) months in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background, drug screen, and physical

KILN OPERATOR - I
365 DAY SWING SHIFT OPERATION
ENTRY LEVEL WAGE RATE $19.91
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out verbal and written instructions necessary to complete repetitive tasks including but not limited to:
Understand & follow Graymont & MSHA safety standards and procedures
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and safely perform job duties
Operating production equipment in a safe efficient manner in addition to completing associated paperwork and workplace exams
Understand and communicate process concerns with Leadsman, Production supervisor, and oncoming relief during shift handover
Perform required housekeeping
Truck loading, receiving, taking inventory, and assisting the Kiln operator in addition to completing associated paperwork
Inspect equipment in area on daily basis, and report safety and/or maintenance items.
Enter work request in JDE system
Troubleshoot equipment and/or process in your work area
Train other employees in your knowledgeable work area
Perform incidental maintenance as required
Perform other tasks as directed by Leadsman or department supervisor
Loads/Unloads cores in setters and/or saggers per Product Criteria instructions
Loads/Unloads setters and/or saggers onto kiln beds
Pyrometric cones/temp check tabs
Transfers setters into and out of setter storage area
Evaluate setters for serviceability.
Maintain location records
Loads/Unloads core into prebake and anneal oven per PC instructions
Periodically records data from kilns
Immediately reports any apparent malfunctions of the kilns
Accurately records all data as required and assures that all previous operations have been completed
Prolonged exposure to radiant heat from furnaces, hot vessels, hot metal, and hot tasks where there is a clear sensation of warmth on the skin for at least 15 minutes.
Performs other duties as directed by facilitators

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a skilled and energetic Warehouse Associate-Loader to join our growing team of professionals. Our Loaders stage, shrink wrap and load product by trip number and store number as it is received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. They also prepare palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping product.
Moving through aisles, rows and shelves

Lifting merchandise up to 60 lbs as needed
Maneuvering heavy equipment using hand trucks motorize cards, pallet jackets, etc

Assists with processing other DC shuttles.
Works in a safe manner following all safety procedures, rules and regulations.

Loader - Warehouse Night Shift
Work schedule: 7:00 pm - until work is complete
The Loader prepares pallets of out-going freight for shipping, transports pallets from the inventory staging areas with a fork truck, pallet jack or by hand into trailers, in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan, damage-free, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Assists Order Selectors and performs other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Inspect empty trailers at the loading dock to insure they are clean and clear before loading and take appropriate action as needed.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Move out going products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift.
Wrap pallets with cellophane, secure load/pallets and make sure shipping labels are in place as needed.
Transport items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan.
Locate the proper slot on the trailer for the order, set it in place and secure the load when complete.
Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
Perform general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required.
Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
Assist Order Selectors and perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
1-2 years warehouse and/or distribution work experience
Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
Pallet jack and/or forklift certified
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position
Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift

Warehouse Loader - Evenings
This labor-intensive position is responsible for loading transport, bulk, and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Works from order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Follows warehouse instructions in building loads. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of weather conditions.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets of products from the warehouse onto a trailer and removing any returned pallets/plastic flats. Responsible for unloading raw materials and placing them in designated warehouse space.
Bulk truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them onto a pallet. Position is responsible for maintaining the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. In most cases, pallets are loaded onto a trailer for local delivery. Position is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
Conventional truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them into the bays of a route truck. Product/packages for each truck are customized based on the salespersons order. Position is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
Position requires lifting a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping as product is moved.

The Gas Cylinder Operator I will assist in the cylinder requalification and repair process and manually and/or with the aid of material handling equipment move industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and loads/unloads cylinders from delivery trucks.
