Dry Kiln Forklift Operator
This position performs a variety of basic tasks. A candidate for this position must be in good physical condition as he/she will be required to work within conditions that are sometimes less than ideal, such as outdoors during inclement winter, including exposure to wood dust and loud noises daily. Must also possess the ability to follow directions and work without constant supervision
Operator must be able to operate all Forklifts in safe and productive manner while stacking rough green lumber on Kiln trucks and in green yard as well as when putting lumber in dry sheds.

Complies with Company policies and exhibits professional conduct at all times.
Physically capable of lifting and placing cross pieces on packs of lumber (as much as 50 pounds).
Keep close attention to quality when stacking packs to avoid down grade.
Must be able to distinguish size, widths, lengths, or types of lumber.
Must be able to stack lumber on Kiln trucks.
Must be able to keep up with production demands at green stacker.
Must keep assigned Forklift clean and greased.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and overtime.
Must be able to drive a 35,000 pound Forklift.
A high school diploma or GED
Safety and good housekeeping are a must.
Must be able to read, write and understand written materials. Perform basic math computations as required for safety, quality, and production functions.
The ability to follow oral and written instructions and policies.
Should be able to communicate verbally and with hand signals.

The PotlatchDeltic Mill in Ola, Arkansas has an opening for a Night Shift- Dry Kiln Operator. This is a Night Shift position. Schedule will be working 7 days on and 7 days off.
Operate Kilns to dry lumber before going through the Planer Mill - Maintain Kilns in good working order
Use kiln computer program
Complete written report for SPIB
Load lumber on tracks and in kilns
attach wet bulb socks and check water supply
Make sure all moisture meter wanes are in place and hooked up
Service various pieces of equipment (grease bearing; change fan belts)
Operate manlift, sky track, front end loader and forklift
Use cutting torch and welding and welding equipment
Assist boiler operator on large jobs and during rake outs
help haul fuel at night and on weekends (bark & sawdust)
Maintain a clean work area
Follow all applicable safety rules
Work regularly scheduled shifts
Work overtime as scheduled
Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Process Kiln Engineer - Cement
Process Engineer / Production Supervisor
Under the direction of the Production Manager, and working together with the production supervisors and control room operators, this position is responsible for monitoring and maximizing the kiln operation/raw material preparation and process systems.
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kiln, preheater/pre-calciner, raw materials and fuel preparation along with the raw mill systems.
2. Leads daily consultation with the Leadership to discuss and evaluate Kiln performance and the resulting impact on overall production.
3. Provides technical expertise to diagnose issues in operations, leading the efforts to remedy problems by taking appropriate actions to restore correct operating procedures. Advise management and operations staff on necessary adjustments and changes to protocols to minimize future incidents. Oversees the implementation of corrective actions.
4. Trains control room operators and supervisory staff in operation of control room / kiln operations.
Cement Kiln process experience Required
Power House Operator (3Rd Shift 4X10) - Pm/87
Comply with safety rules, practices and regulations. Understand plant systems as trade requirements.
Understand the principals of industrial safety and the handling of hazardous materials. Monitor Hazmat P.O.G. and fill out log. Know how to locate codes and laws (Company, State and Federal)
Plan for new installations and expansions. Plan and estimate projects/jobs (both internal and to vendors).
Work with vendor representatives to resolve system problems.
Able to use suitable test equipment to satisfy requirements. Know the use of technical manuals & publications. Checkout equipment within manufacturers' specifications.
Work with a basic understanding of the fundamentals of industrial steam generation and industrial electricity.
Basic understanding of three phase power.
Able to read prints and schematics and utilize during troubleshooting. Able to identify symbols and use print legend. Work with basic shop math.
Document work performed, enter data into maintenance system. Maintain central history database.
Use communication devices. Give verbal pass-over information to supervision and/or subsequent shifts.
Perform and understand TPM. Perform daily equipment preventive maintenance tasks. Design and implement TPM procedures and programs.

Scale House Operator
The Scale House Operator manages scale house operations, checks in drivers, and handles related paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for operating truck scale ensuring that all incoming and outgoing trucks are weighed, documented and load information is verified.
Responsible for maintaining various office/departmental reports and logs as assigned.
Works closely with distribution and/or warehouse supervisor. Is responsible for keeping the supervisor informed of all incoming trucks and traffic flow.
Directs truck drivers to correct dock doors/area.
Ensures all paperwork (shipping manifest, weight tickets, control forms, trucking invoices and billing of lading) are signed and completed.
