Knitter Operator –Weave
- Loads creel (equipment that holds yarn in place as it moves through machinery) and knitters with the proper yarn as specified on SRC (Standard Running Conditions).
- Prepares machinery for operation by leading yarn through knitter. Once complete insures that yarn passes through the correct location on the machinery.
- Measures material in accordance with specifications. Makes adjustments in order to insure specification is met.
- Records production/specification data and compiles production report.
- Cleans knitter and work area on a regular basis.
- Notifies mechanic or supervisor if there is any machine or product specification problems.
- Performs other duties at or above the same skill level at the discretion of the supervisor.

- Perform duties associated with the manufacturing process of knitted fabrics.
Essential job Functions: Listed below are the essential job functions for the primary responsibilities that a Knitter will perform, however, at any time manufacturing demands may require the Knitter to work on a different product line which would require him/her to perform any or all of the listed additional job functions.
Machine Operator – responsible for operating warp knitting machines, both single needle and double needle bar, up to 14 guide bars.
Fabric damage repair – responsible for replacing broken ends and repairing minor damages in the knitted fabric in gauges up to 64 gauge.
Records – Responsible for recording accurately every damage. Also responsible for recording all webs doffed from machines.
Responsible for maintaining specifications for each product, check and respond to changes as called for within written specification.
Beam Loading – responsible for hanging beams on knitting machines with the assistance of a knitter + Follow manufacturing procedures and Quality System requirements.
Effectively communicate any manufacturing and quality concerns to the supervisor.

Knitter And Yarn Operators
We are currently looking for people to work in textile facility in the Lumberton area. If you have previous textile experience we are interested in talking to you! We currently have 2nd and 3rd shift openings for experienced Knitter and will train if you have previous textile experience. Knitters start at 8.00/hr and will work in manufacturing that makes socks and hosiery.
Yarn Operator jobs are on 12hr rotating shifts and days. Previous textile experience is preferred but will train the right candidate. Yarn operators start at 9.00/hr. Immediate need.
THIS SKILL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KNITTING THE SAME MACHINE AND DOFF TO EACH LOT NUMBER.
1 . Run 700 course control for the lot
2. Run 150 course separator before you start to knit the truck
3. Knit each package 50 courses each
4. When truck is finished, take sock off of knitting machine
5. Run 150 course separator and start on next truck
6. Separator is used to write machine number, doff number, lot number, date, knitter's initials and knitting machine associate knitted on.
After knitting truck of yarn, knitter stages trucks together in staging lanes of lab area.
8. After all information is written on separator, the knitter starts counting each panel, starting with number one through number ten until associate counts all packages on each truck.
9. Any yarn that has danbury is flexed and labeled by knitter
