Clean and maintain lab equipment and supplies.
Work with biologic materials (human cell lines, blood, and tissues), transgenic mice, analytical chemistry of carotenoids and other dietary compounds (extractions and HPLC).

Preferred: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related basic science: chemistry, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, nutrition, kinesiology, health sciences.
Demonstrated interest in biological science through advanced coursework or participation in special science-focused clubs or programs.
If in second year of Bachelor's degree or beyond, demonstrated academic success in science coursework.

Cleans and prepares supplies for reprocessing. Collects supplies to be reprocessed in the lab to prepare for cleaning.
Discards/disposes of damaged supplies according to established criteria. Cleans and/or sterilizes supplies to be reprocessed using appropriate techniques. Prepares supplies for pick up according to laboratory procedures. Stores clean supplies in designated locations.
Provides general care and maintenance of work areas and equipment in the laboratory. Ensures clean work areas are available for work activities.
Provides patient care as directed. Cleans work area and equipment promptly following completion of daily activities.
To qualify you must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.

The Receiver is responsible for pumping incoming raw milk or cream from tank trucks into storage tanks, document and record volume into inventory. High Responsibility - with quality and efficiency being the major concern.
Pump incoming milk from tank trucks to storage tank, and compute and record volume of milk received.
Weigh loaded truck on platform scale and records weight on log sheet.
Dip and pour sample of milk from vent hole of truck into bottle for laboratory analysis.
Take temperature of milk, and record data and temperature reading.
May perform antibiotic and other laboratory tests as required.
Transfer milk to tank, read milk-flow meter, and record volume pumped on record sheet.
Wash and sanitize interior and exterior of tank.
Weigh empty truck and record weight.
Compute difference between loaded and unloaded weights of truck to verify accuracy of meter.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

High School Diploma or GED certificate
Current of State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or 2 Certfication
CPR certification required (American Heart Association, Heathcare Provider)
Associate degree preferred
