Responsible for sample preparation for testing, maintenance of required records, maintenance of clean and sterile work environment. Reports test results as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, log and prepare samples for testing
Prepare media, perform required QC checks, and maintain media logs
Receive and log consumables
Monitor temperatures and pressures and maintain appropriate logs
Maintain a clean and sterile environment
Prepare and maintain required documentation
Communicate test results as required
Maintains basic understanding of GLP and any accreditation/certification requirements
Maintains a basic understanding of Marshfield Food Safety's Quality System including the Quality Manual, Quality Manual System Procedures (QMSPs), and procedures as applicable to ISO 17025
Maintains records of all quality activities as documented in procedures and test methods
Make precise measurements using visual assessment (examples: balance centering, weighing small amounts on balance, verification of equipment using small amounts of standard)
Handles samples and performing analyses according to procedures and test methods, which includes verifying small liquid transfers
Accurately enter and/or verify sample results into computer
Signs reports when designated with signing authority
Maintains and calibrates equipment, as necessary
Reports deficiencies or malfunction to the Laboratory Manager or designee
Corrects nonconformance and potential nonconformance
Improves laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis
Conducts other testing as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned.
B.S. in Biology, Microbiology or related field, or minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with lab or food safety experience preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong math skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.

Typical Work Schedule: The laboratory typically operates 24/7. Typical shifts are of 8-10 hours and may start at any time. Weekend work and holiday work is frequently required. Work schedule dictated by plant operations.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Laboratory Analyst performs sample preparation, analytical testing, and manages data in support of Materion's requirements. The Lab Analyst reports to the Laboratory Supervisor and receives daily instruction from the Lead Analyst.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Lead Analyst to receive training and instructions.
Comply with all procedures, safety requirements, and good laboratory practices.
Follow standard procedures regarding sample preparation prior to instrumental analysis; attention to detail is a key requirement.
Analysis of routine and non-routine samples.
Perform cleaning, troubleshooting and operation of control room instruments and devices; for example but not limited to:
Participate and contribute to departmental toolbox meetings, study sessions and procedural updates.
Update and verify control room related SPC charts daily.
Perform tank checks prior to entry for life support atmosphere and explosive mixtures.
Ensures cleanliness of work area and throughout the laboratory.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College Chemistry including quantitative analysis or a demonstrated ability of this level of achievement.
Knowledge of standard mathematics, English and the metric system for expressing units of concentration in percentages.
Knowledge to recognize problems or interfereing variables and determine corrective actions.
Proficient in the use of computers, standard office software, and the ability to perform data entry accurately and quickly.
Knowledge of and experience working in a quality system such as ISO 17025 is preferred.
Two years laboratory experience preferred.
As this role requires effective communication with other employees and the comprehension of customer specifications and other technical documents, the individual must be proficient in speaking and writing the English language.
The Analyst must be able to work and relate well to and with others, demonstrating responsible judgement and reliability when assigned and as determined by the Lead Analyst or management.
Work Environment: This position includes but is not limited to working with hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment, inlcuding respiratory protection. Following work rules and safety rules is essential.
Sr. Agile Automation Tester
CGI is seeking a Senior Agile Automation Software Tester to participate in the testing of the business software applications. Testing will include system, integration, performance, regression and support of User Validation.
The Tester will participate in test preparation and execution activities across all phases of the software development life cycle.
This includes requirements definition, analysis and design, and construction. Tester will take a lead role in test preparation, execution and defect management.
They will mentor less experienced testers, bring software testing best practices and knowledge to the team, and identify areas of improvement in test preparation and execution disciplines.

Coordinates and provides senior level testing guidance to analysts, developers, and business users
Works in partnership with the Development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets the acceptance criteria.
Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of quality assurance principles, best practices and procedures to the completion of complex software testing assignments

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in computer science or closely related field and 6 or more years of experience.
Preferred experience includes 6 years of System Development Life-Cycle experience working with large, complex systems and four years' experience working on Agile Scrum teams.
