This job is primarily responsible for performing all tasks dealing with keeping the assigned location in a safe condition as well as an overall good facility appearance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying any priority areas and ensuring that dust accumulation does not reach 1/8", and will assist in other tasks such as painting. Additionally, this job will assist in the processing plant as directed by management.

Safely operate all Rolling Stock as required to keep the location clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned; including working in any or all parts of the plant as required by management assisting with operations or maintenance when an imminent or urgent issue arises.

You will be accountability for leading all water treatment activities for closed and open loop systems. You will serve as the specialist for the O-M Strategy process, provide direction to the Operations Lead, Project Lead, and Maintenance Team Leaders for questions regarding systems affected by projects and operations and maintenance activities. You will also be the Water Conservation Lead for the Sandia New Mexico site coordinating with the resource conservation lead.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Maintain site wide database and information for the water treatment program.
Identify long-term facility project needs through the Assessment Management, Resource Conservation or Expanded Capacity processes and assist in integrating those needs across the site.
Conduct Condition Assessments and develop methods to understand and predict condition of system out to 10 years. Present these conditions using the FGIS and develop proposals to request funding for condition assessments.
Utilize condition assessment information to develop project proposals and estimates for Corporate Investment Program over the next 10 years.
Develop quantities of the system and verify the accuracy of take-offs and maintain historical data on costs for the systems and document those costs.
Actively participate in O-M Strategy process. Help establish training requirements, job plans, goals, etc.
Understand the issues with A/E design teams and our construction program to develop improvements to the Design Manual, Construction Specifications and Campus design and Development Guidelines with the standards engineer.

About Our Team
The Infrastructure Engineering Department (4852) provides a comprehensive perspective of Operations and Engineering support for Sandia/NM site infrastructure systems and primary utility systems. We provide support to our mission partners related to site activities, determination of new project needs, and engineering solutions. Our department supports excavation and penetration activities as well as Facilities Graphic Information System (FGIS) support for Sandia/NM Facilities and Infrastructure systems.

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level security clearance.
