Mechanic - Refinery
HollyFrontier Navajo Refinery LLC located in Artesia, NM is seeking a #1 Mechanic. (The company reserves the right to hire a #2 in the event that a #1 is not available)
HOURS OF WORK: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Overtime as well as weekend on-call rotation is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Candidates must have a strong background in rotating equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting along with construction knowledge gained either through work experience or technical school training.
Experienced with the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of all types of pumps, turbines, gear boxes and compressors. Other duties required will be forklift operation and in general any duties required to support and contribute to an efficient maintenance organization. Successful candidate will be on an on-call schedule.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience is required.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMEMTS: Must complete a comprehensive written pre-employment examination.
A comprehensive physical examination must be satisfactorily completed. A DRUG SCREEN IS PART OF THE PHYSICAL.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity requirements include climbing to heights exceeding 100', working in close confined spaces, and wearing of respiratory protective equipment.

Refinery Code Welder
Welds according to Valero's engineering specifications on plant process piping, equipment, and structural steel.
Makes weld repairs according to Valero's engineering specs on piping, valves, towers, tanks, exchangers, compressors, fin fans, furnaces, etc.
Demonstrates knowledge of rig piping, machinery and equipment according to OSHA standards.
Performs pipefitting work on piping (i.e. screwed and welded pipe).
Demonstrates ability to interpret material safety data sheets (MSDSs), hazardous material identification system (HMIS), environmental safety and maintenance instructions.
High school diploma or GED required.
A minimum of two years of experience in each of the welding, pipefitting, boilermaking, and rigging crafts required.
Oklahoma State Welding Certification required.
Demonstrated ability in quality X-Ray welds on process piping using GTAW and SMAW welding procedures is required.
Experience fabricating piping from CAD or Blueprint drawings required.
Must be able to complete tests using approved welding procedures in accordance with A.S.M.E. Section IX, B 31.3 required.
Ability to complete all tests in the 6G position required.
Must be able to pass the following weld tests immediately: TP2-640, TP2-280, TP2-6XX, TP308-640 required.
Must be able to pass the following weld tests within 180 days: TP MONEL-240 and Chromeweld required.

Manager Refinery Operations
The Manager Refinery Operations oversees the operations of the used oil re-refining process including associated tank farms and utilities functions. Refinery Experienced Process Design Chemical Engineer
PROCESS is currently seeking one or more Refinery Process Design Engineers with experience in refining process operations and/or design experience including hands-on HYSYS simulation skills. Positions are available in our Daphne, AL office location.
Additional experience in upstream oil & gas processing or the chemicals industry is desired but not required. Duties will include executing process design and engineering projects targeted for the petroleum refining industry. Assignments may also be in other process industry segments.
Candidates must be willing to travel as assignments, both domestic and international, will require some on-site work. Minimum job requirements include a B.S. in chemical engineering and a combined 10-20 years of design and operating experience related to refining / oil & gas and chemical processes. Ideal experience includes a wide variety of petroleum refining unit process simulation, troubleshooting, project engineering, and process design experience (such as distillation, gas plants, alkylation, catalytic reforming, hydrotreating, isomerization, etc.) and unit operations experience. Advanced degree and professional registration are desired but not required.

Refinery Operator-Des Moines, IA
This is a full time, hourly position.
We are looking for versatile individuals who would like to work for a large agribusiness at our Des Moines Soybean Oil Refinery.
Potential applicants must desire to work in a variety of positions including manufacturing, laboratory, and control room environments.
One to two years of manufacturing experience is desirable and a strong interest in science is recommended.
The manufacturing plant runs 24 hours per day and the workforce rotates through all four shifts. Shifts are 8-12 hours each.
The duties of the position include loading trucks and rail cars and cleaning filters and equipment in a food processing facility.
After some experience is obtained at the refinery the individual would progress to process control and oil analysis.
