GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: This position works eight hours per day, five days per week and occasionally includes daily overtime and Saturday work. General laborers operate a variety of equipment and perform all types of construction and maintenance related work in the manufacturing and production process of concrete products.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation of light, medium and heavy equipment including fork truck, front end loader and bobcat.
Operation of various hand‐operated tools related to construction work.
Maintains equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.
Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
Places steel reinforcing in forms in the manufacturing production process.
Places concrete into forms.
Tears down forms after the concrete is cured.

Street Division Laborer -2019
General Overview of Position
Most positions work first shift, Monday through Friday (weather or other conditions permitting), although some positions may require weekend and evening hours on a regular or occasional basis. This temporary employment may be scheduled throughout the year on a full-time basis depending on the needs of the City, but will not exceed 1,500 hours per year. This employment is strictly temporary, seasonal ("at will") employment which may be terminated at any time and does not lead to permanent full-time employment.

Seasonal laborers perform routine maintenance work for the Streets Division of the Public Works Department. Work involves a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks related to seasonal operations being performed primarily outdoors and on city streets or at municipal buildings, parks or other City sites or properties.
Seasonal yardwaste collectors assist in the collection of yardwaste materials under the direction of the City of Kenosha's Street Division of the Public Works Department.

Utilize a forklift for moving inventory
Verify and manually load orders on outgoing trucks.
Verify and manually load outgoing orders onto customer vehicles.
General yard and office maintenance to include cleaning and painting.
Maintain neatness and cleanliness of warehouse.
Maintain inventory in appropriate/designated storage areas in warehouse.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Must have some experience with warehouse, forklift, or other machinery
Prefer high school graduate or GED
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Operation of forklift.
Team player with good customer service skills.
Ability to read, speak and write the English language.
Must have reliable transportation to work each day.
Must be able to physically and safely deliver products on roof.
