Shellfish Hatchery Technician
Taylor Shellfish Farms is one of the largest producers of farmed shellfish in North America. The company is quickly growing in sustainable shellfish farming with new techniques and innovative growing methods.
Seasonal Full Time
This person will work in various parts of the hatchery cleaning tanks, harvesting geoduck seed, mixing chemicals, screening shell, inoculating algae tubes and tanks, and/or assist with shellfish spawns. Employee will work closely with current technicians, as well as the other hatchery staff. Special training for larvae or algae department may come after initial trial period.

GIS data collection and preparation of maps will be an important component of the incumbent’s responsibilities. The incumbent will assist other MADMF Program personnel with additional projects as needed. DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Assists in planning, mobilization and conducting field activities associated with two multi-year shellfish mitigation projects. 2. Assist staff biologists conduct all field activities associated with the mitigation projects, including site selection surveys, pre-seeding and post-seeding surveys, planting up to two million juvenile quahogs per year and placement of permanently anchored site markers. The incumbent will be conducting field surveys using SCUBA. 3.
Assists with data entry and preparation of written technical biological survey reports related to the mitigation projects. 4.
Assist in data collection, data entry and management of the Shellfish Program’s GIS data base as it relates to the mitigation projects. 5. Organize, record, and maintain data for computer analysis.
Prepare graphical presentations of data for inclusion in reports, publications and presentations. 6. Operate and maintain field equipment, including motor vehicles, small craft and trailers, sampling gear and mooring hardware. 7. Perform other surveys, studies or duties as directed.

The warehouse can get dirty, but the air quality is very clean.Associates will be placing metal parts of all sizes (very small to very large) in containers to prepare them for heat treating, painting and polishing. This is a position that requires standing for the entire shift. This position may require lifting of up to 70 pounds.

Field Technician / Laborer / Equipment Operator
We are a family owned and operated environmental and industrial services company, based in Astatula, FL, and we are growing quickly. We are looking for hard working crew members to join our team. Field technicians work with drivers, operators and project managers with activities such as:
