Shift Supervisor Job Duties
- Supervise up to 30 employees on a 12 hour shift in a 24 / 7 operation on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule.
- Achieves daily goals around Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the health and safety efforts of the company by ensuring the availability of resources, training, and support and by making continuous improvement efforts a priority.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning staff; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising employee work assignments; resolving problems; reporting results on daily shift summaries.

Automated Casting Technician - 2Nd Shift
* Set up, adjust and operate automated high speed centrifugal casting machines to make a variety of castings to very close tolerances. Program casting machines. Select, insert, position, check sizes and secure dies and cores as necessary. Transfer molten metal via ladle using overhead crane. Slag off and pour metal at proper temperature. * Troubleshoot and diagnose machine problems including PLC programming. Reference electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics as required. Advise maintenance department on corrective measures. * Perform variety of centrifugal foundry duties including melting and high speed automated casting machine operation. * Perform preventative maintenance as required. * Assist in the development of new casting processes. * Monitor and maintain consistency of die coating. * Monitor quality of tubes cast via NDT reports. * Maintain clean, orderly, safe facilities. * Direct, assist, and train other operators and helpers as needed. Qualifications * Education in industrial technologies relating to automated manufacturing equipment and processes as well as knowledge of melting and/or casting. * Experience in programming PLCs, CNCs or similar automated equipment. * Ability to logically troubleshoot automated equipment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong technical orientation. * Must be able to follow written and verbal procedures. * Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
