SUMMARY to perform all kinds of welding, layout, fitting, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
- Fabricates parts by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Repairs parts by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
- Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
- Builds up worn or defective surfaces.
- Layout and fitting per customer drawings.
- Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- All other duties as assigned

- Must be able to read blue prints and understand GD&T.

To promote and maintain efficient loading and unloading of equipment on company and customer vehicles to improve dispatch efficiency and customer service at the profit center.
Stage outgoing equipment orders truck load as directed by dispatch
Assist drivers with unloading and loading of equipment
Assist drivers with equipment refueling
Ensure returned equipment area is organized
Assist in staging customer pick ups
Assist customers load and unload equipment
Properly fill out customer return tickets
Help maintain a neat and organized yard space in general
Various other tasks as may be directed by the PCM
Education and Requirements
Must have a high school diploma, vocational school degree or military training certificate
