Senior Swim Instructor
Do you have a passion for teaching? We are looking for passionate Swim Instructors who enjoy working with children and teaching them life-saving swim skills. We have multiple locations throughout South Orange County, including our indoor, state of the art facility in Mission Viejo. We provide in-house paid training, so although experience is preferred, it's not required. Swim instructors will be expected to complete training, including customer service training, and pass a written and skills test before engaging our students.
A typical shift for a swim instructor includes teaching 3-4 hours, effectively communicating with young students, effectively communicating student progress to parents, keeping a safe and clean swim lesson area and performing skills assessments throughout the shift.

TRAINING: Employees will receive approximately 40 hours of paid training and must complete training before teaching lessons. We require proof of CPR/First Aid Certification upon completion of training and we do provide additional compensation for a valid lifeguard certificate. Training includes learning about the history of the swim school, our core values, customer service and curriculum training. Training is compensated at $11.00/hour.
Probation: There is a 30-day probation period that is compensated at $12.00/hour once training is complete and an instructor engages in lessons. Once the 30-day probation period has ended, the instructor will earn his/her agreed hourly pay.
Hours: Evolution Swim Academy operates Monday-Sunday. Monday - Friday we operate from 9:00-1:00 pm and 3:00-8:00 pm, Saturdays & Sundays from 9:00-1:00 pm.
