In this position you would support the Compliance Manager and Bank Secrecy Act Manager in the administration of duties and initiatives designed to maintain a strong compliance and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) position. You would also assist with the preparation of critical reports and monitoring.
§ Maintain in-depth knowledge of existing and emerging industry-related laws, regulations, and other applicable regulatory compliance requirements for: lines of business, vendor management, BSA, AML, OFAC, and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
§ Administer and maintain Company-wide Incident Response Policy & Program, Identity Theft Policy & Program, and Vendor Management Program.
§ Assist with development and review of disclosures, forms, notices, procedures, brochures, and advertisements for compliance with laws and regulations; coordinate with legal counsel, marketing, and other functional areas as appropriate.
§ Monitor level of compliance with laws and regulations throughout Company and assess effectiveness of Company-wide compliance efforts; report pertinent information to Chief Risk Officer.
§ Review Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), BSA/AML/OFAC and other appropriate compliance reports; document and discuss concerns/discrepancies with Compliance or BSA Manager accordingly.
§ Research reports and customer account records to detect suspicious activity involving potential structuring and money laundering schemes.
§ Ensure data integrity through periodic review of source data captured through core processing and other systems used to create reports. Interface with functional managers and others as appropriate for ongoing and timely review and analysis of reports; maintain documentation to validate reviews.
§ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; advanced certifications preferred
§ 6+ years of experience in banking or related field with minimum 3 years of compliance and/or Bank Secrecy Act experience required
§ Strong analytical and organizational skills
§ Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines; attention to detail and follow-up
