Laminator Operator - Flexible Packaging (2C Shift) - De Pere, WI

Belmark is currently seeking a Laminator Operator to run our world class equipment to produce a high quality product in a timely fashion for our customers. The work hours are from 4:00 P.M. - 4:00 A.M. with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off. Employees on this shift work 36 hours but are paid for 40 hours. Our employees enjoy the rotating shift due to the days off received, which allows time to accomplish things around the home or spend time with friends and family. The shift differential for 2C is $1.00 more per hour.

Operate a laminating press at the highest efficiency possible while following standard operating procedures and work instructions to produce a high quality product.
Ensure product print impression and registration, as well as proper anilox, tensions, die cut and stripping on each job.
Web the press, maintain adhesives, clean press, install doctor blades, install cylinders and perform routine press maintenance.
Maintain quality, productivity and waste according to set standards.
Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
Knowledge of and the ability to speak the English language fluently.
Regular attendance is required. May be required to work some overtime.

The Laminator Assistant assists the Laminator Operator in keeping the lamination equipment running continuously, and ensures that materials are readily available at all times.
This position has varied duties which include:
Assisting the Laminator Operator in the set up and production on lamination machinery which bond films together with adhesives.
The successful candidate must follow instructions and proper safety procedures at all times.
The Assistant Laminator is responsible for inspecting product along with the operator, to ensure all customer requirmeents are met and that a quality product is being produced
The ability to read a tape measure and measure product is required
Performing necessary calculations, analyzing information, and troubleshooting problems to reach the desired results is essential.
The Assistant is required to review the job order to determine film required for production and to ensure the correct film is brought to the machine
They will perform duties such as cutting cores to a specific length, load film onto the machinery, mix adhesive as needed, weigh finished rolls, band and wrap finished rolls and transfer them to the rewind area

Assists Press Operator with press make ready, operating, and maintaining sheet-fed or web offset printing press. This includes inserting packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height, fastening reinforcing bars to offset blankets, and installing plates and blankets on press cylinders, using hand tools and power tools, to achieve pressure required for printing.
Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools. Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools. Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press. Assist Press Operator by making necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.
Requires general knowledge of offset presswork procedures and materials. Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully.
Skill to follow instructions to operate equipment safely and produce the desired product. Ability to use micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly. Must have strong experience as a sheet fed press assistant or operator, in a high quality commercial printing operation, with presses of 40" or greater and 6 colors or greater.
