Entry Level Position

Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance. Maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing or making repairs.
Install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance. Replace and transplant trees, flowers, and shrubs.
Maintain trees and shrubs by trimming and pruning. Trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach. Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance.
Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems. Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans. Operate dump trucks, tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, materials, and debris. Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team to reach common goals.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e. g., to identify defects). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
Move up and down a ladder. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Removal of snow and maintenance of ice management (if applicable). Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Performs routine manual labor involved in the upkeep of the golf course and its grounds. Under supervision, may be required to do semi-skilled grounds work. Operate small, hand-held power equipment; perform work with larger equipment such as tractors and medium sized ride-on turf mowing equipment.
Prepare the golf course for play daily. Includes changing tee and hole positions, picking up all visible trash from the front entrance and around the entire course.

Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Maintain assigned area of the facility. This area may be changed at the discretion of the supervisor.
Operate mowers and trimming equipment for greens, tees, fairways, aprons, rough, around trees, posts, rocks, and fans.
Rake and maintain bunkers.
May apply fertilizers and pesticides as requested, under the supervision of a licensed applicator.
Ensure all course accessories are neat and positioned correctly.
Maintain proper fluid level in each piece of equipment used on a daily basis; report all improperly functioning equipment to a supervisor or the equipment technician.
Return all equipment to the properly designated areas after is has been properly cleaned.
Clean in and around the Turf Care Center daily.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the methods and materials used in maintaining golf course and landscaped environments.
Working knowledge of and safely use hand and power tools and specialized turf mowing equipment.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum three (3) months landscaping experience, mowing, use of fertilizer, trimming.

The engineer is responsible for successfully maintaining, and repairing, as needed, all mechanical equipment throughout the facility in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort & Casino.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; Must have four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

The Landscaper helps
Maintain the ornamental nursery facilities; selects, propagates and grows plant materials for ornamental use on and around the buildings, parking lots and other visible areas.
Cultivates shrubs and flowers
Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery
Iinstalls and maintains lowpressure irrigation systems for landscaping
Instructs grounds keepers in routine maintenance of ornamental plantings
Applies pesticides and fertilizers to ornamental plantings
Advises the lead gardener and/or the golf course superintendent of need for tree trimming services

Under the direction of the Lead Landscaper and Grounds Keeping Supervisor, the Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the property using hand tools and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in promoting brand loyalty by engaging in exceptional customer service to both our external and internal customers.
Maintains all landscaping around the Casino including Park and Ride, upper lots, and around the Parking Structures.
Plants seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground cover, trees, shrubs; applies mulch for protection.
Mows and edges lawns using power mowers and edger.
Controls irrigation system: troubleshoots repairs, replaces, installs, and configures irrigation lines and timers; programs timers; routinely flushes, test, and inspect all irrigation lines.
Maintains the operations of the well pumps: cleaning and changing filters, filling fertilizer drums, tracking and recording daily readings on pressure; reports any abnormalities.
Maintains water features: cleaning and changing filters; fill bromine tablets; minor preventative maintenance on pumps.
Cleans inside of ponds, monuments, and waterfalls.
Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
Keeps all chemicals in assigned areas with proper Safety Data Sheet (SDS) labeling.
Power washes walls, sidewalks, walkways, pillars and spills.
Minor repairs and patch of asphalt.
Change out plants according to season.
Gather and remove litter.
Plan and cultivate lawns and gardens.
Use hand tools such as: shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge and brush trimmers, axes, chainsaw.
Keep all chemicals in assigned areas with proper SDS labels.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one (1) year related experience.
Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
Must have knowledge of programming irrigation timers and irrigation software.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.
Certification in related field a plus.
