Mold Base Unit Utility - Greenville, MI
The Mold Base Unit Utility Operator will work as part of the direct manufacturing shop floor team. In this position, the Mold Base Unit Utility operator must have experience working on the Gallmeyer, Blanchard, and Inspection. The Mold Base Unit Utility operator be responsible cleaning machines at end of shift, identifying insert types, and assembling inserts. The Mold Base Unit Utility operator will be responsible for utilizing the lapper and laying out parts. This position requires the operation of machinery in a temperature controlled manufacturing environment.
This position requires the ability to read instructions and follow these instructions with precision to produce outputs.
Identify different types of steel
Identify different inserts
Clean machines as indicated
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Make size adjustments and understand measuring instruments
Take precision measurements using micrometers or other measuring tools
Check output to ensure highest quality
Maintain equipment in good condition and perform operator preventative maintenance
Submit requests for maintenance repair as required
Keep records of production quantities and time
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
Properly identify all product processed with work order number, inspection status, and operation status
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent;
Technical Degree a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience as a Blanchard, Gallmeyer, and inspection preferred
Able to stop production if the work center/machine is not producing products that meet all required specifications
Follow all safety guidelines and operate machinery in a safe manner
Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary by the company

Manufacturing Tech III - CNC Machinist (5 Positions)
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Manufacture quartz components under limited supervision utilizing specialized production machines. Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
NOTE: 5 or more years of hands-on CNC MACHINIST experience required.
Shift TBD: Must be open to day or night shift. (Once shift is assigned, there is no shift rotation.)
Set up and operate all types of production machines including lathes, milling machines, saws, core drills, grinders, lappers and polishers.
Set up, edit, operate and perform routine maintenance on Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines including Mills and Grinders.
Perform adjustments to machinery to keep process within specification.
Determine and prepare tooling, fixtures and special machine attachments.
Read and interpret blueprints or drawings necessary to complete assignments.
Work in accordance to process procedures, work order instructions and drawings.
Verify part or process conformance to specification with callipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages and comparators.
Perform critical work assignments.
Perform detail work including waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, cleaning, and cosmetic inspection of parts.
Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance.
Maintain equipment, process, part, transfer, and inspection logs or SPC charts.
Maintain safe, organized and clean work areas.
Set up, operate and perform routine maintenance on Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines including Lathe, Mills, Grinders, Laser, and Abrasive Jet.
Check part conformance to specification utilizing a Coordinate Measuring Machine.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of FIVE (5) years similar CNC machining experience.
Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, applying machine mathematics, GDT and experience machining to high tolerances.
