Model Maker Machinist
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Model Maker Machinists to join its Manufacturing team. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.
Utilizing both programmed and non-programmed equipment, determine and complete all tooling/manufacturing operations needed in the manufacture of assemblies and models for both production and engineering assemblies. Determine the need for and make all necessary tooling as required.
Requires the ability to use any machine tooling, manual and CNC controlled machine tooling and any machine shop equipment such as, but not limited to lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, radial drills, grinders, etc. Should have a working knowledge of duplicators and boring mills, multi-axis CNC machinery.
Obtain all necessary information to perform job assignment and report any discrepancies to appropriate personnel. Plan, develop and manufacture all tools/manufactured hardware. JOB TITLE: Tool and Die Maker - 2nd Shift
Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parks.
Computers dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
Troubleshot die problems to achieve maximum productivity.
