About the Position
Golf Pride® Grips, Played by 80% of Tour Players, aims to further strengthen our brand with the assistance of an experienced and passionate Product Marketing Manager for the putter category.
This key position will lead product marketing activities for the Golf Pride® brand globally across industry's Sporting Goods retail, golf specialty, green grass, and OEM channels. Key activities for the position include creating the product roadmap for putter grips, developing and executing putter grip business plan, identifying latent needs for consumer and professional golfers, and further developing the putter product portfolio. He/she will be responsible for managing the putter product portfolio, creating pricing and promotional plans, and managing the P&L to ensure growth for the category and the brand.

This leader is a category and brand subject matter expert, providing direct leadership for the Golf Pride putter grip product portfolio to ensure both short and long-term success. The role reports directly into the global head of Marketing for Golf Pride.
The ideal candidate is passionate about creating and managing remarkable products, a self-starter with a strategic mind-set and proven executional expertise gained with a sports brand, CPG, or comparable industry, while having a passion for the game of golf.
Essential Functions Include:
Create and manage the putter grip product roadmap for Golf Pride Putter Grips in the retail and OEM channel through consumer insights, product portfolio gap analysis, and market trend analysis to drive the business.
Manage a product launch from idea through launch by creating a product brief, product concept development, forecasting, naming & positioning, and reporting and managing performance.
Manage the product portfolio and the putter grip P&L including business case development and execution. You will build a forecast, track and communicate performance vs. expectations, and develop actions plans to address any variances to expectations.
Collaborate and drive a cross-functional team including R&D, sales, operations, other marketing functions, and agency partners to bring products to life. You will drive the timeline and deliverables, while bringing innovative ideas as to how to better deliver a best-in-class consumer experience.
Achieve revenue and profit margins while achieving brand share objectives for the category.
Conduct consumer and professional golfer research to identify latent pain points, create and refine product concepts, and validate concepts among the targeted user.
Manage the product launch to ensure it is on-target, on-cost, and on-time.
Use consumer research and business analysis to understand the competition, channel dynamics, consumer segmentation & positioning, product segmentation and sales performance.
Works closely with brand, channel, and Tour/sports marketing team. Work closely with Brand Marketing & Channel Marketing to support on-going priorities, including internal communication process, product presentations, consumer research and competitive intelligence.
Ensures sales growth through robust integrated marketing plans, while utilizing performance metrics and analytics to gauge program effectiveness and make adjustments to future proposals.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
A minimum of 3 years of product management or marketing experience
A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience in consumer products
A minimum of 2 years of experience collaborating with R&D to develop new products
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Master's degree in Business and Marketing, from an accredited institution.
7 years Product Management experience at consumer product goods company, retailer or agency experience in sports industry, preferably in the golf industry
Track record of success building a consumer brand, preferably within the sports industry
Knowledge of golf industry
5 years of experience managing a P&L
5 years of experience collaborating with R&D and sales to develop new products
5 years of business case development and execution
3 years of experience managing creative agencies
Ability to collaboratively develop and execute product plans with R&D, sales, project management, brand marketing, channel marketing, Tour, agencies of record, and global sales and marketing team.

Perform Putter fitting/testing and related assignments for a wide range of players that may include high handicap consumers, better playing amateurs, VIP guests, and Tour Players from various elite associations. As a Cameron Product aficionado, this position will be an adviser to product investors of product attributes and history to ensure an understanding and appreciation of the products value.
Duties include but are not limited to;
Conduct Scotty Cameron Putter fitting/educations for high-end consumers, Scotty Cameron Collectors/enthusiasts, PGA, LPGA, Sr. PGA, and mini-Tour players, as well as, college, key amateur and AJGA players.
Fitting/Testing sessions may contain: optimization of Putter ball performance and their relationship to various Scotty Cameron models, video analysis of the player's set-up and high speed video analysis of the golf ball and putter head using proprietary putter analysis software, comparative analysis of a player's current equipment to the recommended putter as well as changes in their physical putting set-up.
Putter fitting sessions may be performed without any use of video cameras or putting software, hands on only.
Provide recommendations of various putting drills with the use of Cameron accessories to help the player improve.
Incorporate the history of the Scotty Cameron Brand of putters, as well as, explain the process in which the putters are made.
As a putter craftsman and technician, perform putter assembly and customization upon request.
Provide expert level product consultation to the Cameron enthusiasts to ensure purchase experience is equivalent with product value.
Maintain and monitor putter inventory.
Write findings/player test reports, charts and data collection that highlight Putter performance, putting style trends in lengths, swing weight, styles, and provide feedback for Scotty Cameron R&D. Create and prepare reports to design and engineering departments based upon experience and knowledge of from customer interactions.
Perform putter sales and provide a luxury shopping experience for all customers.
Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants and/or needs.
Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs/desires.
Promote the attributes of the merchandise and answer all customer questions. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
Arrange and display merchandise to promote sales.
Process cash and credit purchases accurately using the POS system.
Assist with opening and closing cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
Ensure the store is clean and presentable to customers at all times.
Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
Responsible for maintenance of the Gallery calendar.
Lead in Retail Pro POS responsibilities.
Assist with special events and promotions.
Bachelor's Degree required along with thorough knowledge of the game of golf.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in in the area of club fitting, player instruction or testing required.
Must have extensive knowledge of Scotty Cameron Brand, excellent communication skills, expertise in working with luxury brand consumers, and be comfortable working with the best players in the world of golf.
PGA Club Professional highly preferred.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, go up and down flight of stairs, and lift up to thirty (30) lbs.
