The Laundry Worker I position is responsible for performing laundry duties at the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Picks up and sorts soiled laundry
Operates washing machines and dryers along with a variety of machines in sorting, ironing, pressing and folding finished laundry
Delivers finished laundry to residents
Maintains cleanliness of machines and work areas
Assists residents and visitors as needed

Position Summary:
The Custodial Services Worker cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
Essential Functions:
Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
Properly cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment
Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
Ensures security of company assets
Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
Previous custodial experience preferred
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Position Summary

Providence is calling a Linen Worker to work at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA for a per. diem variable shift opening.
We are seeking an individual to be responsible for the servicing and par leveling of hospital linen exchange carts.
In this position you will:
Deliver clean linen carts to floors and retrieves depleted linen carts and returns them to the cart holding area.
Perform in-house laundry processing needs on an as needed basis.
Operate mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment and other laundry tools and accessories as required.
Par Level linen exchange carts according to pick tickets. Pull linen in desired quantities from bulk linen delivery carts.
Consider patient, manager/client background and work history to effectuate positive work experience/relationship.
Communicate in a courteous manner during all contacts with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency at reading and writing English.

Laundry Workers perform a variety of tasks on varying shifts, including collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading machines, and folding clean linen.
Operates computer-operated washers and dryers.
Responsibilities include counting and recording the linen processed each day, making proper deliveries to units and, cleaning and sanitizing the work area including; machines, work tables and sorting area.
Performs laundry activities within well established guidelines to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
Delivers personal clothing to the appropriate resident.
The overwhelming majority of the laundry worker's job is performed while standing, walking and bending.
The laundry worker is responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned linen, etc. according to schedule.
Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
Is responsible for the safe and proper use of detergents and adheres to all safety precautions.
Work involves pulling and pushing, carrying weight up to 50 pounds, twisting, bending and reaching from floor to waist height and from waist to chest level.
Represents HCSG in a positive manner; is able to follow oral and written instructions, is pleasant, tactful and courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, residents and client staff.
