Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY:
Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor. Performs complex legal research and analysis; document review and pre-trial discovery activities. Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
RESPONSIBILTIES: Law degree. Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging. Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.

Extensive training will be provided to applicants who show aptitude to applying themselves toward intricate and detail oriented problems. The position is entry-level with a lot of opportunity for growth if the candidate demonstrates proficiency in performing all duties and tasks during the initial two to three month training period.
The Intellectual Property Law Clerk directly assists legal assistants and attorneys in the research, preparation, and organization of materials for filing patent and trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and filings with Courts. The work requires handling confidential information with discretion.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- performing daily clerical tasks, including:
- opening, processing, and scanning incoming mail,
- preparing outgoing mail (FedEx, UPS, USPS),
- creating and saving electronic documents,
- importing electronic documents into our electronic file management system,
