Lawyer Probate Job Description Sample
Estate Planning & Probate Attorney
We are seeking Estate Planning & Probate Attorneys to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in probate court proceedings, assist in building estate planning strategies, draft pleadings & custom legal documents, and generally guide clients through their difficult times.
Our law firm practices estate planning & administration exclusively. Have you created wills & trusts? Helped clients figure out what to do when someone dies or becomes incapacitated? If their plan was deficient, have you helped them go through probate, guardianship and/or conservatorship? If someone was stealing an inheritance or not doing their job properly as a fiduciary, have you helped go after them? That's what we do here.
We want to meet attorneys looking for work either part-time, full-time, or as an independent contractor in these practice areas. If you have solid experience in one or more area and can confidently care for our clients even when you don't know all the answers, this could be a great opportunity for you. You'll likely need to have at least 3 years experience in one or more area.
But your skills alone won't get you the job! :) Skills and experience are required, appreciated, and valued, but personality, character, intelligence, and integrity will be paramount considerations. High-maintenance, humorless, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this firm and should not apply. You MUST be a self-starter, self-learner, and have a solid ability to work independently.
We do have billable requirements, but they are life-giving & reasonable. Meet your goals and you'll succeed.
Non-smoker. Bilingual not necessary. Background checks will be conducted. References will be contacted. Arizona bar license required.
Compensation: DOE. Benefits: depending on position (sorry but the firm does not offer health insurance).
All applications will be kept strictly confidential.
- Submit your resume showing relevant experience.
- State in your cover letter which type of position you are interested in (part-time, full-time, or independent contractor).
- Answer the interview questions here in the ZipRecruiter post.
We will follow up with every qualified candidate.

AmeriEstate Legal Plan, Inc. is a Prepaid Legal Access Plan with over 35,000 members. We are currently registered to do business in VA, CA, AZ, KY, TX, MD and TN, and our primary focus is in Estate Planning. You need not live in Fairfax; but MUST have a presence in VA and be licensed in VA; we are accepting resumes from all cities in VA. As a pre-paid legal access plan, the primary goal of the plan is to provide our members with affordable access to licensed attorneys for legal advice and representation. Though the legal plan is established to provide its members with access to licensed attorneys for a broad range of matters, the focus or specialty of the legal plan is Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and business formation services. Most of our new members are interested in establishing Revocable Living Trusts and other appropriate estate planning strategies. Our approach to helping families obtain these valuable services is a non-traditional one; however, our procedures involve specialization leading to higher efficiency and reasonable costs for the client.
Our current network of provider attorneys consists of 1-5 attorneys in each state where we are registered to do business. Our provider attorneys are independent practicing attorneys who agree to provide legal plan members with legal advice and consultation for up to 30 minutes, unless retained for more complex legal services or other representation. AmeriEstate is currently expanding its services and we are seeking to establish a new relationship with a Provider Attorney ("PA") in the state of Virgina. Our primary requirement for a Provider Attorney is one who has significant experience in the area of Estate Planning, ie Wills, Trusts, and Living Trusts.
In our model, a PA will be provided a steady stream of pre-educated members for consultations leading to the creation of an appropriate estate plan for which the PA will receive a fixed fee. Any matters which fall outside of the area of estate planning will also first be referred to the Provider Attorney if appropriate in light of attorney's area of practice.
If you are interested in forming such a relationship, please forward your resume and/or qualifications to: firstname.lastname@example.org. At that time, I will provide you with more details and references with our current Provider Attorneys.
